A new year of Vocation Groups is officially underway!
Last week, more than 140 people from across the CFW community came together to launch a new year of Vocation Groups, and the energy in the room was palpable.
Around tables filled with people working in Arts, Education, Finance, Healthcare, Legal, and Tech, we started where Vocation Groups are meant to start: with the real experience of our work. We talked about the ways our industries shape us, the tensions and questions we carry into our workplaces, and where we see opportunities to love our neighbors and participate in God’s work of renewal.
That was only the beginning.
Over the coming year, these groups will gather monthly for honest, industry-specific conversation, prayer, shared practices, and friendship. Together, we’ll explore questions of identity and ambition, burnout and limits, power and neighbor love, witness at work, calling, and redemptive imagination, always asking what it looks like to follow Jesus in the particular places we’ve been called to work.
We’re incredibly grateful for the leaders who have stepped forward to create spaces for this kind of conversation, and for everyone who showed up ready to bring their questions, experiences, and whole selves to the table.
We can’t wait to see what God does in these communities this year.
