Word of God (Deut. 6:5-9; Luke 18:1), to be watchful (1 Peter 4:7; Matt. 26:41: Mark 13:35, 37). kindness, and love for the souls of men, constantly imploring the help of the Holy Spirit, studying the Scriptures that we may honor God and obey our Master's will, and be made free by the truth (1 Peter 2:21; John 5:39, 8:31, 32; Col 3:16; Gal. 5:22-25). As we have opportunity we should do good to all

men, especially to them that are of the household of faith (Gal. 6:10). We should be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh, a reason of the hope that is in us, with meekness and fear (l Peter 3:1). In short; "we are to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world, looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, even our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Tit. 2:1l-14).
