Youth For Christ NYC works alongside youth between the ages of 11-19, mentoring, empowering and equipping them with the necessary skills to become leaders in their community and lifelong followers of Christ.

We are kicking off another training cycle with some amazing NYC ministry leaders. So grateful for these seasoned leaders and their heart to pour into the next generation of youth leaders. They will be an incredible gift and an important part of the journey for the City Life Cohort.

Last year we took a risk and put out a call to youth leaders across NYC to gather around tables for community, connection, and collaboration. And boy did you answer!

We met across boroughs, we came from different churches, different denominations, different organizations, and different backgrounds.

With one purpose, to support one another in the work we love, to young people across our city. To enter into the lives of teens to love, serve, and bring them to feet of Jesus.

We are so excited that we are doing it all over again! NYC Youth Leader Tables are back! Look out for dates coming soon for gatherings across the city.

Last night we gathered, ate, played, laughed, and we prayed. This meet up was a great way to start the journey of the City Life Cohort 2.0 in our new location.

Grateful for this group of leaders, excited to see what God has in store this year.

What a blessing it was for Youth For Christ NYC to visit YOUTH FOR CHRIST PUERTO RICO We enjoyed touring their complex, learning about their ministry, and seeing firsthand the wonderful work God is doing through them.

We are thrilled to announce that Lucas Cuyuch is joining the Youth For Christ NYC team as our new Campus Life Director!

Lucas will be leading the charge to reach and impact students across schools in Staten Island, building relationships with young people, developing leaders, and creating opportunities for students to experience hope and the love of Jesus.

We believe God is opening incredible doors in Staten Island, and we’re excited to see Lucas help lead this next chapter of Campus Life.

Today we had the privilege of welcoming my friend Charles Cheech Chung to one of our Juvenile Justice facilities. He shared his personal story and the journey of how he started and built his business.

Our students heard firsthand about perseverance, hard work, taking risks, and the importance of making wise decisions. Moments like these remind our young people that their past does not have to determine their future. Through entrepreneurship training, we are helping them discover purpose, build practical skills, and see new possibilities for their lives.

This past month the new City Life Cohort spent the day training in the Public Reading of Scripture with our partners at Grace and Mercy. Our youth pastors are gearing up to launch PRS groups with their young people this Fall. 🙌 📖

We just finished graduating our very first NYC City Life Cohort. Each youth pastor we walked alongside in our cohort came from different backgrounds, geography, and ministry contexts. We wanted to celebrate and highlight the unique stories each one of them carries, while also finding a way to encourage other youth leaders in our city. So, we created a book that captures all of that.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step.

Tonight we started a year-long journey together with the NEW NYC City Life Cohort. We took our first step together by attending a PRS gathering and listened to scripture together.

Last week we were able to put down an important stone or Ebenezer moment to mark a special night in which we were able to look back in gratitude and reflect on how the Lord was with us this past year.

We are thrilled to say that we were able to graduate and commission our very first NYC City Life Cohort. 👏👏👏

Here are some highlights of our journey:

✨10 Youth Leaders from different boroughs across NYC committed to this cohort
✨They completed 12 YFC online Modules and participated in 12 In-Person cohorts together with NYC Trainers/facilitators
✨Collectively we have surpassed our goal of meeting 150 NEW students from our neighborhoods and have reached 183 students together.
✨They have done outreaches in their neighborhoods along with facilitating PRS (public reading of scripture) in their youth ministries across NYC this past year.

I (Erica) highlighted Mark 2 (the story of the friends breaking through the roof for their paralyzed friend) as the focus for what we were trying to do this past year together.

I am happy to say last Thursday we commissioned some “roof breakers.” Youth leaders who would break through the roof for teens across our city, leaders that will do whatever it takes to get kids to the feet of Jesus.

What a privilege it has been to lead and walk alongside these youth leaders in these efforts.
