What is spiritual about the struggle for trans liberation? How does it involve all of us? What kind of support and solidarity are required of those who hope to be comrades to trans people? Join us on June 25th at the People's Forum for a discussion about these and many other questions as we talk with Dr. Jehbreal Jackson, Rev. Yunus Coldman, and Rev. Elæ Moss Benedetto about surging transphobic fascism, spiritual and material resistance, and the world-making of transness. Guiding the conversation will be Conor Q. Foley, Director of Community Engagement at the Community Church of New York.

RSVP required - see the comments for the link to sign up.

At Community Church, as the end of the church year approaches, we like to hold a Gratitude Sunday service to celebrate transitions and express what we are thankful for in this community and the world. This past Sunday, we had many transitions to mark:

1. The bridging of a high school senior, Elizabeth, from youth to young adulthood, with gratitude for all she has brought (and will continue to bring) to our community.
2. A transition in the leadership of our board of trustees, as Jonathan Birchall stepped down from his position as Chairperson after six years. Jonathan's leadership saw the church through a difficult period and we are immensely grateful for everything he has done for this community and institution. Christian Herera will take on the position this year, and we thank him for his willingness to give share his time and skills with us. We also honored Rose Crayton, who is leaving the board after many deeply appreciated years of service.
3. We gave our communal blessing and best wishes to Runita Sutton, who will be moving away from New York City this summer.

To all our congregants, visitors, staff, friends, and members of our community across the world, we are grateful for you!
