Well I have finally decided to make some moves that will free me up to explore other options and write about my journey. Next Sunday June 25th will be my last official time in the pulpit at Church of the Abiding Presence. That day will be both bitter and sweet but just another grace filled moment in which to give God thanks and praise. Thank you Bishop Egensteiner and staff, for your support and encouragement. My time on the EC of the MetroNY Synod Council was very interesting. I was happy to serve. “We are church together!” Grateful for the Black Pastors Group and BET for their collaborative efforts in telling our stories and making our voices heard. History is still in the making. I’m so thankful for the call from God that made everything make perfect sense, and I am excited about doing “a new thing”. I’m confident that the ministry of this faithful community in the Bronx will continue to prosper and grow. Although the Pandemic took the wind out of all our sails, we still pressed on without hesitation. Right now I am thinking about the founders of this church in the Bronx (Soundview) and their commitment to God’s mission and purpose 65 years ago. “We’ve come this far by faith leaning on the Lord!” Press on faithful servants! Press on! ❤️🙏🏾
Peace and Love Always…
