Our parish is now comprised of members from many backgrounds and branches of the Orthodox Faith. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Church in New York, N.Y. We are a parish of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. This church was founded in 1925 by our Slavic ancestors from an area of the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Europe, now in modern-day Slovakia. T
he Divine Services are conducted in a combination of English and Church Slavonic. Over the past 85 years, hundreds of immigrants and natural born American citizens have called St. In addition, it has become a focal center for social activities in our lives, a place to embrace and enjoy the friendship and company of our extended families. Many of us have met our
spouses and raised our families at St. Nicholas Church; all of us have made friends for life. "Come and see!" is the statement you will hear when asking an Orthodox Christian about their faith. The Members of the Board of Trustees invite you to “come and see,” to share in and experience the beauty of Orthodox worship as we offer praise and glory to God.
