St. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Church - 10th Street We are an active parish located in the East Village neighborhood of New York City. Welcome to the website for St. Nicholas Church their spiritual home.

Our parish is now comprised of members from many backgrounds and branches of the Orthodox Faith. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Church in New York, N.Y. We are a parish of the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. This church was founded in 1925 by our Slavic ancestors from an area of the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Europe, now in modern-day Slovakia. T

he Divine Services are conducted in a combination of English and Church Slavonic. Over the past 85 years, hundreds of immigrants and natural born American citizens have called St. In addition, it has become a focal center for social activities in our lives, a place to embrace and enjoy the friendship and company of our extended families. Many of us have met our
spouses and raised our families at St. Nicholas Church; all of us have made friends for life. "Come and see!" is the statement you will hear when asking an Orthodox Christian about their faith. The Members of the Board of Trustees invite you to “come and see,” to share in and experience the beauty of Orthodox worship as we offer praise and glory to God. If you have ever been curious about what goes on in that Church on the corner of 10th Street and Avenue A across from Tompkins SquarePark, please come and check us out some day. We warmly welcome all families, friends and guests to our parish!

God grant many & blessed years to our faithful and all others who participated in a special performance last week at Carnegie Hall, celebrating centuries of Rusyn history and musical heritage. Attendees saw months of hard work and preparation come together in a wonderful way. Christ is Risen! Christos Voskrese! May God grant many happy and blessed years to all of the mothers of our community! It was our privilege to set aside time on Sunday to bless, serve, and feed those who first fed and nourished us. By their love, we first knew the love of our God. Added to the special joy of the day was the churching of the newest mother of our parish before Divine Liturgy. Mnohaja i Blahaja L’ita!
