Middle Church

Middle Church Welcoming. Artistic. Inclusive. Bold.
(307)

Middle Collegiate Church is a celebrating, culturally diverse, inclusive and growing community of faith where all persons are welcomed just as they are as they come through the door. Rooted in Christian tradition as the oldest continuous Protestant Church in North America, Middle Church is called by God to boldly do a new thing on the earth. As a teaching congregation that celebrates the arts, our

ministries include rich and meaningful worship, care and education that nurture the mind, body and spirit, social action which embraces the global community, and participation in interfaith dialogue for the purpose of justice and reconciliation.

What’s love got to do with it?

This Sunday, we explored how love is more than a feeling. Love is village. Love is Mother Earth. Love is being shaped, stretched, and called back to what matters most.

As part of our Summer Love and Liberation Arc, Middle Church welcomed Kerry Docherty, Joel Leon, Lindsay Branham, and Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis for a conversational sermon and post-worship panel on sensuality, fierce love for self and others, the q***rness of nature, and creativity as our muse.

In a moment of political chaos, protest, and deep uncertainty, fierce love invites us to pause, pray, listen, and remember who we are called to be.

Watch this Sunday’s sermon at the link in bio.

Join us every Sunday at 11:45 a.m. ET, online from wherever you are, for worship rooted in joy, resilience, justice, and liberation.

During Pride Month, allyship cannot be passive.

Rev. Natalie reminds us that our q***r siblings are being targeted every single day, and those who call ourselves allies should not have the luxury of sitting in the corner waiting for someone else to act.

We must be ready to grab the baton and run. Watch the full sermon using the link in our bio!

There’s no better way to begin Pride and Juneteenth month than by celebrating one of our own.

Rev. Natalie was ordained during the height of COVID, kneeling in the ashes outside Middle Church while friends, family, and community gathered online. Through every season before and since, she has served with courage, compassion, and fierce love.

We are deeply grateful for her ministry, her leadership, and the way she shows up for this community every day.

We love you, Rev. Natalie. ❤️✊🏾

As Pride Month begins, we remember that our struggles for justice are connected.

In this clip, we hear about the fear and trauma many Asian Americans experienced during the rise of anti-Asian hate during the pandemic. Words became violence. Microaggressions became attacks. Communities were left carrying grief, fear, and uncertainty.

At Middle, Pride is not only a celebration. It is a commitment to stand with all people targeted because of who they are. We honor the resilience of APIDA communities and continue the work of building a world where every person can live safely, openly, and with dignity.

Liberation is never a solo journey. Our freedom is bound together.
