Meetings for worship are held in the Northwest corner of Battery Park, south of Battery Place at the Battery Labyrinth for Contemplation and just north of Castle Clinton.

On this Earth Day Eve, we are getting really ready to sit together next to or on the beautiful Labyrinth of Contemplation that was made by Ariana Burgess to commemorate 9/11. Some of us even enjoy walking mindfully on its grass barefoot. The first Thursday we will meet is May 4th between 6 and 7pm. Come if you can any Thursday this summer until our last meeting on September 28th.

My goodness it's June already. We have been meeting every Thursday in May even last week when there were torrential rains in the Bronx but apparently in Battery Park. It was damp but the sun did peek out to make the raindrops on the clover sparkle.

Do join us any Thursday until the end of September from 6 to 7PM. The entry is north of Castle Clinton and opposite the Korean War Memorial (with the cutout of a soldier).

As we are emerging from the pandemic we are looking forward to resuming worship and hope you can join us. We will continue to follow the CDC guidelines: wearing masks and keeping our distance. Since we are outdoors and have plenty of room to spread out it will be especially safe to sit together in the beautiful space we've come to love.

We are so sad we will not be sitting together this year by the Labyrinth of Contemplation. As soon as it is safe to do so, we will be back by the harbor with its sailboats and the lady with the lamp, the wildflowers and traffic noise. It is a special place where we feel the Spirit's presence, but the Spirit is in every place. All we need to do is to slow down and open our hearts to it wherever we are, as often as we possibly can. May you stay safe and well until we can meet again.

We are always glad to welcome new friends to sit quietly in this beautiful space. It is always a little cooler here than elsewhere in Manhattan so dress accordingly. Come when you can, leave early if you must. We know people have lives.

It's May! So come join us this Thursday (May 4th) and any Thursday until the last Thursday in September (the 28th) from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Latecomers and early-goers are welcome (we all have lives.

Andy von Salis reports all is in readiness for us. Look for the Battery Urban Farm not far from the Korean War Memorial in the NW corner of Battery Park. The labyrinth and our benches await us.

We continue to gather, usually about a half dozen of us. Worshiping next to the labyrinth of contemplation in the midst of the veggies of the Battery Urban Farm is very centering. The labyrinth seems greener than ever and there are still sailboats out on the water. Do look for the flower banners (our Quaker stained glass windows) flying above our elegant curved benches.If you have trouble finding us give me a call at 646 489-4175. On Thursday evening July 23rd we continued our weekly gathering. Despite its being the week of NYYM, we had 4 people worshiping. The weather was perfect, warm and bright but with a lovely breeze and shadows across the brilliantly green labyrinth. The vegetable gardens are growing bountifully. We are less enclosed than we were but the passersby are far enough away not to be a distraction and they can see us, our sign adn leaflets at the gate and the flower banners so perhaps some will join us. This was our original purpose back in 2003 when we began, to meet in a way that would welcome folks to join us.

This Thursday, June 4th, it looks like we'll finally be able to sit on our old benches again by the labyrinth. It is no longer surrounded by wild grasses and flowers, instead there are gardens producing vegetables. Do come join us in worship any Thursday from 6 to 7 between now and September 24th.
