Today marked the final day of classes at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Academy.

While we are saddened by the closing of our beloved school, we are also filled with gratitude for the countless lives that have been shaped within its walls. For generations, students have learned, grown, prayed, formed friendships, and discovered their God-given gifts as part of the Saint Thomas family.

As we turn this page, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Thomas Piro for his dedicated leadership, unwavering commitment, and tireless efforts on behalf of the Academy. We are equally grateful to the teachers, front office staff, aides, maintenance staff, volunteers, and all those whose daily work helped make Saint Thomas a place of faith, learning, and community.

A school is more than a building. Its true legacy lives on in the students it formed, the families it served, and the values it instilled. Though this chapter has come to an end, the impact of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Academy will continue to be felt for years to come.

Please keep all members of the Academy community, past and present, in your prayers during this time of transition.

Hoy fue el último día de clases en la Academia Católica Santo Tomás Apóstol.

Aunque sentimos tristeza por el cierre de nuestra querida escuela, también estamos llenos de gratitud por las innumerables vidas que fueron formadas dentro de sus paredes. Durante generaciones, los estudiantes aprendieron, crecieron, oraron, cultivaron amistades y descubrieron los dones que Dios les concedió como parte de la familia de Santo Tomás.

Al cerrar este capítulo, expresamos nuestro más sincero agradecimiento al Dr. Thomas Piro por su liderazgo dedicado, su compromiso inquebrantable y sus incansables esfuerzos en favor de la Academia. También agradecemos profundamente a los maestros, al personal de oficina, asistentes, personal de mantenimiento, voluntarios y a todos aquellos que, con su trabajo diario, hicieron de Santo Tomás un lugar de fe, aprendizaje y comunidad.

Una escuela es mucho más que un edificio. Su verdadero legado vive en los estudiantes que formó, en las familias a las que sirvió y en los valores que sembró. Aunque este capítulo ha llegado a su fin, el impacto de la Academia Católica Santo Tomás Apóstol continuará por muchos años más.

Por favor, mantengan en sus oraciones a todos los miembros de la comunidad escolar, pasados y presentes, durante este tiempo de transición.

As another year of ministry comes to a close, we congratulate the members of the Saint Thomas the Apostle Youth Choir on a wonderful year of sharing their gifts with our parish community.

This week, choir members were recognized for their dedication and commitment with certificates and medals in appreciation of their service throughout the year.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our Youth Choir members, their families, and Cynthia Macias, Director of Music, for helping to foster a love of music and worship among our young parishioners.

May God continue to bless these talented young people as they use their voices to glorify Him.

Al concluir otro año de ministerio, felicitamos a los integrantes del Coro Juvenil de Saint Thomas the Apostle por un maravilloso año compartiendo sus talentos con nuestra comunidad parroquial.

Esta semana, los miembros del coro fueron reconocidos con certificados y medallas en agradecimiento por su dedicación y servicio durante todo el año.

Extendemos nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a los integrantes del Coro Juvenil, a sus familias y a Cynthia Macias, Directora de Música, por ayudar a fomentar el amor por la música y la adoración entre nuestros jóvenes feligreses.

Que Dios continúe bendiciendo a estos talentosos jóvenes mientras utilizan sus voces para glorificarlo.

Yesterday evening, the students of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Academy and our Faith Formation Program received the Sacrament of Confirmation during the 5:00 PM Vigil Mass.

Surrounded by their families, sponsors, catechists, and parish community, these young men and women were sealed with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and strengthened in their faith as they took this important step in their Christian journey.

We were honored to welcome Bishop Witold Mroziewski, who administered the Sacrament of Confirmation and encouraged our candidates to live as faithful disciples of Christ. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Father Francisco Walker, Father Andrzej Klocek, pastor at Saint Elizabeth, and Deacon Carlos Bueno for their guidance, prayers, and support throughout the year. It was especially meaningful to celebrate this occasion with Deacon Carlos, whose daughter, Genesis, was among those who received the sacrament.

We would also like to recognize Nikitha Bachu, Director of Faith Formation, for her tireless dedication and countless hours of work in preparing our students for this special day. Her commitment to the faith formation of our parish youth is a true blessing to our community.

A heartfelt thank you as well to all of our catechists, volunteers, sponsors, parents, and families whose support, encouragement, and example of faith help make the Faith Formation Program at Saint Thomas the Apostle possible.

Congratulations to all of our newly confirmed young people. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide, strengthen, and inspire you as you grow in faith and witness to Christ in your daily lives.

Ayer por la tarde, los estudiantes de la Academia Católica Saint Thomas the Apostle y de nuestro Programa de Formación en la Fe recibieron el Sacramento de la Confirmación durante la Misa de Vigilia de las 5:00 PM.

Rodeados de sus familias, padrinos, catequistas y de toda la comunidad parroquial, estos jóvenes fueron sellados con los Dones del Espíritu Santo y fortalecidos en su fe al dar este importante paso en su camino cristiano.

Tuvimos el honor de recibir a Monseñor Witold Mroziewski, quien administró el Sacramento de la Confirmación y animó a nuestros candidatos a vivir como fieles discípulos de Cristo. También extendemos nuestro más sincero agradecimiento al Padre Francisco Walker, Padre Andrzej Klocek, pastor de San Elizabeth, y al Diácono Carlos Bueno por su guía, oraciones y apoyo durante todo el año. Fue especialmente significativo celebrar esta ocasión junto al Diácono Carlos, cuya hija, Genesis, se encontraba entre quienes recibieron el sacramento.

También deseamos reconocer a Nikitha Bachu, Directora de Formación en la Fe, por su incansable dedicación y las innumerables horas de trabajo invertidas en la preparación de nuestros estudiantes para este día tan especial. Su compromiso con la formación de la fe de los jóvenes de nuestra parroquia es una verdadera bendición para nuestra comunidad.

Asimismo, agradecemos de corazón a todos nuestros catequistas, voluntarios, padrinos, padres de familia y familiares, cuyo apoyo, ánimo y ejemplo de fe hacen posible el Programa de Formación en la Fe de Saint Thomas the Apostle.

Felicitamos a todos nuestros jóvenes recién confirmados. Que el Espíritu Santo continúe guiándolos, fortaleciéndolos e inspirándolos mientras crecen en la fe y dan testimonio de Cristo en su vida diaria.
