Thank you in advance for your prayers and support, and remembering to gather together in worship and Christian love. Whether you’re a seasoned overthinker or just an occasional worrier, we wonder where to even start untangling that mess. What can we do? Well, we can remind ourselves that what looks like chaos to us makes perfect sense to God. Our apparent tangle of a day is part of a bigger picture that we can’t see yet in entirety. It’s not our job to figure it all out, but we can put it all into His hands and trust Him for the next step. It doesn’t have to be some epic leap from confusion to clarity. It can simply be a walk to clear our heads, some deep breaths, or a few minutes of prayer set aside to recenter ourselves in Christ. Letting go of what we can’t control can be so freeing, but it often takes divine hands to pry our fingers off. The next time thoughts overwhelm us, let’s try to imagine everything falling into those hands and just take one simple, prayerful step at a time. Stay encouraged by sharing in the great gift of the Holy Spirit working on our behalf to keep us empowered and connected to His perfect works and purpose.
If you've got a prayer request and if you'd like to share with us, our email address is [email protected]; put in subject line “PRAYER REQUEST” for our prayer ministry to uplift your petition to God, Who is able to do all things in accordance to His perfect will. In the meantime, God bless you and thank you for being a friend to Shaw A.M.E. Zion Church.
Every blessing,
Rev. Dr. Charles W. Young
Pastor
