This week, our port chaplain, Pastor Tammy (left) encountered the rare female dockworker near the date of May 18 which was International Day of Women in Maritime. She told Pastor Tammy that she is proud and thankful for the work and likes to meet other women on the docks. They prayed together and Pastor Tammy gave her a little Jesus ornament.

Mental well-being is the biggest fear for thousands of seafarers stranded in the Strait of Hormuz. For weeks, around 20,000 seafarers have been stranded on vessels.

Food and water remain a significant concern for many of the thousands of seafarers stranded on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
But the "the biggest fear for everybody is their mental well-being," Stephen Cotton, general secretary of the ITF - International Transport Workers' Federation, said in an interview with CBC News. "The whole stress of being out on the sea — they feel very vulnerable because of the drones and the missiles," he said.
