Good Saturday afternoon this day Aug 22,2026 Praise the Lord ,thank you for the breath of like you breathe in me and Ty for the many blessings you stow upon me my family and my friends always . The roads are not always clear but with your guidance and strength we get through it all because u never leave our side. Glory to God in the highest.

We are finishing up the Gospel of John with his crucifixion to the cross in John 19:17👇

“So they took Jesus away. Carrying the cross by himself, he went to the place called Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha).”
‭‭
This was the repository for the bones the place where Roman Soldiers crucified people and the remains would fall to the ground what was left by scavengers if the families were not given permission to take them down. A horrific end to the first century Jews who highly valued a proper burial.

The torture that Jesus was put through we must never forget for one moment ever . He died for me for u for humanities sins

Carrying the cross by himself, he went to the place called Place of the Skull (in Hebrew, Golgotha).

Good afternoon brothers and sisters aka Christians for we share the same spiritual bond through our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus called those who do Gods will are his brothers sisters and mothers. Faith is a shared household we should love one another with a pure and honest heart This family bond crosses over race wealth gender and national boundaries We as believers are expected to care for, help and encourage each other like true family members .Amen

Well we know now Jesus was arrested in Chapter 18 in The Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives shortly after the Last Supper

Temple Guards and Roman soldiers led by his disciple Judas Iscariot who betrayed him by kissing him to identify him to the mob.

His other disciple Simon aka Peter drew a sword and cut off the ear of the high priests servant but Jesus healed him and Jesus told his followers not to fight.

Jesus was taken away for questioning and handed over to Pontius Pilate .

John 19:1-5

“Then Pilate had Jesus flogged with a lead-tipped whip.”
‭‭

“The soldiers wove a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and they put a purple robe on him
“Hail! King of the Jews!” they mocked, as they slapped him across the face.

Pilate went outside again and said to the people, “I am going to bring him out to you now, but understand clearly that I find him not guilty”
Then Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said, “Look, here is the man!”

The continued to call for Jesus ex*****on

Jesus experienced deep human anguish and sorrow in the Garden of Gethsemane before his arrest, sweating drops of blood as he prayed for the "cup" of suffering to be removed. While he ultimately submitted to God's will, he faced his impending ex*****on with profound emotional and spiritual distress.

Despite this dread, he chose to submit to the ex*****on willingly to fulfill his mission.

Thus we must never forget what he did for humanity .

Praise Jesus Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

Good evening church ⛪️ Many blessings to all of you may the light continue to shine upon you with ❤️ ☮️ and happiness.

Up to this point in the Gospel of John u have learned that apostle john was Jesus best friend He ministered 12 close associates over a period of three years John speaks modestly of the disciple whom Jesus loved 5 times in his Gospel and reveals him at the end of the Gospel of John I will get to that later.

Jesus loved all his disciples without question.

John 18:12

“So the soldiers, their commanding officer, and the Temple guards arrested Jesus and tied him up.”
‭‭

Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives to pray and seek solitude with God before His crucifixion. It was a familiar, private retreat where He frequently took His disciples. Jesus chose this place allowing His betrayer, Judas Iscariot, to easily find Him to orchestrate His arrest. Jesus went to this garden in order to begin the process of atonement was no accident.

Jesus sweat blood while His very own disciples slept, oblivious to His agony. (He’d told them so many times that He would suffer and die, but they just didn’t get it.) It didn’t matter anyway: they were about to deny him just like everyone else.

Of course you know the cause of this darkness, betrayal, and pain: not what happened in Gethsemane, but what happened in Eden.

This hour was the culmination of that horrible day when husband and wife decided they wanted to "be like God” (Gen. 3:5) and ate the forbidden fruit.

Now here was Jesus ready to spill his blood on account of their pride. It was why he came, but his humanness gave him pause:

My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will. (Matt. 26:39)

He knew the answer before He even prayed it, but He had to ask just in case there was another way.

You see that act of disobedience in one garden, led to the greatest act of obedience in another. No one but Jesus could have drunk from this cup. It wasn’t just that he would suffer a tortuous death—all but two of the twelve disciples would die in similar fashion. But also that in the midst of that torture, he could call it off at any minute. Or, in Jesus’ own in words:

Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? (Matt. 26:53)

Jesus said something powerful earlier in His ministry. He said that a seed cannot fulfill its purpose unless it first dies (John 12:24).

The word “garden” elicits life: flora, reproduction, fruit. Kind of like Eden. Gethsemane, though, reeks of death.

Jesus knew that for us to live, something had to die.

So He chose Himself.

We must never forget that sacrifice

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

So the soldiers, their commanding officer, and the Temple guards arrested Jesus and tied him up.

Good evening church ⛪️ I hope your all doing well and that God is answering your prayers and blessing u more than you realize. Sometimes we have to take a look at things from a different point of view to realize how many blessings we truly have in our lives and that POV is through the eyes of God. Looking at life through God's perspective shifts our focus from temporary earthly lacks to eternal spiritual abundance, revealing our true identity, grace, and value. Adopting this divine viewpoint transforms how we measure wealth, worth, and purpose.

“I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. “

“Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.”

Jesus looks ahead to His death on the cross as the final, successful completion of His earthly assignment from God.Pre-existent Deity: Jesus reminds the listeners of His divine nature and the glory He possessed alongside the Father before the creation of the world.Shift in the Prayer: After praying for Himself in these opening verses, Jesus transitions in verse 6 to praying specifically for His disciples.

“I have revealed you to the ones you gave me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to me, and they have kept your word.

Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you,

for I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me.

“My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.

All who are mine belong to you, and you have given them to me, so they bring me glory.

Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are.

During my time here, I protected them by the power of the name you gave me. I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures foretold

Now I am coming to you. I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with my joy.

I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.

I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.

They do not belong to this world any more than I do.

Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world. And I give myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your truth. “

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. “

“I have given them the glory you gave me,
so they may be one as we are one.

I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.

Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began! “

O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them.”

Jesus looked out for his Disciples as we should be looking out for our loved ones too Faith Hope Love and love is the most important one

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

Good afternoon church ⛪️ Mondays blessings It’s Monday I thank God for this new day this new week Not one of is here by accident it’s because God has plans for us a purpose for us all. May he protect us guide us and use us for his glory today and always.

As we move along in The Gospel of John up to this point Jesus has basically prepared his disciples for his departure through chapter 16. Today we go into 17 where he turns his eyes to heaven and prays directly to God the Father, offering a beautiful conclusion to his earthly ministry before his arrest.

Chapter 17 of John contains the High Priestly Prayer, the longest recorded prayer of Jesus in the Gospels. Delivered just before His arrest, it is traditionally called "priestly" because Jesus intercedes for His followers. Spoken on the night of His betrayal, just before the crucifixion, He acts as a mediator (priest) between God and humanity by praying for Himself, His disciples, and all future believers.

“After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.”

Jesus now begins to pray.

During His earthly ministry, Jesus submitted to the timeline given Him by God the Father. This meant not displaying power in the wrong way or at the wrong time.

Controlling the expectations of the people managing how and when people proclaimed Him and even whether or not He could be captured by His enemies . All those choices were in anticipation of "the hour" when God's ultimate purpose for Jesus' earthly life would be fulfilled. Jesus prays, now, in recognition that this time has arrived .

He glorifies his Father

After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.

John 16:13

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”

It is hard to imagine the grief that must have flooded the questioning hearts of Christ's disciples when they started to face the reality that Jesus was going away. For over three years He had been their Teacher and Protector, and His wisdom and grace was acknowledged by all, yet there was so much more that they needed to learn from Him.

He had clearly told them that He was leaving them and was going back to the Father in heaven and yet, in His loving-compassion, the Lord Jesus reminded them that He would send the Spirit of truth to guide them into all truth: "And to disclose to them what is yet to come."

What a comfort to know that the good tidings of great joy, which spoke of the glorious gospel of Christ would not grind to a bitter halt at His departure, but that the Spirit of truth would come to guide them into the many truths that they were not yet ready to receive; truths that could not yet be manifest before the victory on the Cross had been finally won.

Many of those truths were yet to be revealed to the apostle Paul by the Lord Jesus Himself. Mysteries connected with the Body of Christ which is the Church; mysteries planned by God before the foundation of the world; mysteries which had been hidden from ages and from generations.

Just as Christ was one with the Father and only did those things that He heard from above, the unity of the Godhead is further displayed when we read of the Spirit: "He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to us what is to come." Neither Christ nor the Spirit are inferior to the Father, but frequently demonstrate the submissive nature that pleases God.

Our job is to listen to what the Spirit says to us, for the one that is submissive to the promptings of the indwelling Holy Spirit is that one who will be guided into the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ and be given godly wisdom and discernment in every aspect of our lives.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. I pray that I may have ears that are spiritually attuned to hear His voice, eyes that are willing to see spiritual truths, a heart that is submitted to His guidance and correction, and a teachable spirit so that in His grace I may be guided into all truth. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah

"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.

“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.”

This verse Jesus is not presenting a transactional rule (“obey so that I will love you"). Rather, He is teaching that our love for Him propels our obedience.

This verse is part of the "Farewell Discourse", spoken to the disciples during the Last Supper. Jesus is comforting them about His impending departure, reassuring them of His enduring presence, and immediately preceding His promise to send the Holy Spirit (the "Advocate" or "Helper") to guide and empower them.

“But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

Jesus is talking to the Samaritan 👆woman .Physical water provides temporary relief, but Jesus uses it as a metaphor for the human soul. True spiritual longing is permanently satisfied through a relationship with Him.

The living water represents the Holy Spirit.

Jesus emphasizes that this salvation is not earned through external works. It is placed permanently inside the believer ("a spring of water welling up"), continuously nourishing them

Jesus is the light and thirst we need always
John 7:37

He offers Himself as the ultimate remedy for the thirsty soul, ensuring that anyone who comes to Him will never spiritually thirst again.

John 8:12

Jesus proclaims, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Praise Jesus

“Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.”

For Jesus to be here was unusual. Samaritans were half-Jewish and half-Gentile. So, most Jews reviled them. This not only meant avoiding them, but even refusing to have any contact with them .Jesus, however, is here on a divine mission . His upcoming conversation with the woman at the well will provide valuable spiritual teachings. Even better, it will begin the process of spreading the gospel to the entire world.

Amen

Tomorrow we will meet the woman at the well and Jesus will reveal himself to her.
