Isaiah 40:11 As you know the Bible frequently portrays God as a shepherd who tenderly watches over and leads His flock. Though He is mighty (40:10), He remains gentle and attentive. Throughout Scripture, God is depicted as a shepherd (Psalm 23; John 10:11, 14; Hebrews 13:20; 1 Peter 5:4). Importantly, this shepherd looks after the most vulnerable members of society: widows, the young and those who care for them. This highlights the prophetic message that true strength does not come from military power but from trusting in God’s compassionate strength, prioritizing care for all people, especially the most vulnerable (see Matthew 25:40).
