We were blessed to hold Holy Week services amidst the chaos of the world around us in St. Paul's Chapel. A place of sweet peace and calm, to be with our Lord in this week where we journey with Him to the cross for our salvation.

COSA - Columbia Orthodox Student Association
CONSTITUTION Effective as of September 2021

Columbia Orthodox Student Association is committed to establishing an enabling academic and extracurricular environment that promotes praxis as it relates to the stages of Orthodox spiritual life within an inclusive, identity concordant, spiritually enriching safe, brave, empowering campus community space—while supporting Orthodox students (as well as any and all students with theological interests alike)—as they navigate and explore their spirituality.

Accordingly, utilizing an Orthodox lens to negotiate our respective spiritual identities and exercise our Faith-In-Action occurs by exploring Orthodox spirituality via educational events—as well as cultivating our union with God—via campus activities. COSA affords invaluable spiritual advisement via Father Abouna Gregory Saroufeem as our campus-wide Orthodox campus-wide Religious Advisor. In this manner, our mission is to promote and encourage all Orthodox students, university-wide, to experience inclusion, belonging, and spiritually holistic well-being via COSA’s offerings as follows: acquisition of virtues, particularly the commandment of love; communal or liturgical prayer; personal and communal prayer; sacramental life; fasting; Biblical and spiritual reading; and spiritual direction throughout student members’ respective academic trajectories and beyond.
