Congregation Habonim Welcome! Congregation Habonim is a vibrant neighborhood synagogue on the Upper West Side.

We are a fully egalitarian, Conservative synagogue that welcomes each individual’s journey. We invite your Jewish educational, ethical, spiritual, and intellectual interests, to be brought together with others to create an environment of enrichment, learning, and caring. As every human being is created in G-d’s image, we welcome everyone regardless of sexual orientation, religious background, or level of observance to participate with us. We have education and events for all ages and Shabbat services every Friday night and Saturday morning. We have a Nursery School and a Religious School for the children, as well as numerous opportunities for social activities and social justice for children through teens. There are a variety of educational opportunities for adults, including Beit Midrash discussion sessions after Shabbat morning services, and special courses and guests throughout the year. For more information about events taking place at Habonim, visit our website, www.habonim.net!

Construction is moving right along, and we’re thrilled to share a first look inside our new sanctuary! ✨

With the ceiling now in place and the scaffolding removed, the space is beginning to truly come to life. The distinctive woodwork we’ve admired in drawings for years has also begun to take shape along the sanctuary’s exterior walls.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone into our new home!
