He IS RISEN INDEED!

Today is Holy Sunday/ Resurrection Sunday!

On this day in Holy Week, Jesus, being fully God and fully man, rose from the dead with all power!

Although many contest this truth, the historical credibility says otherwise.

-Over 500 eyewitnesses saw the Risen Savior before he ascended to Heaven.

-Archeologists have uncovered significant findings that corroborate the historical context, locations, and individuals mentioned in the Gospels (without using the Bible).

-Jesus has fulfilled over 300 Old Testament prophesies.

Just to name a few.

Faith in Christ isn't blind faith. It's proven faith.

The resurrection is vital because by it, Christ overcame the enemy of death as well as took on the sins of humanity in His body so that all who believe can have access to the Holy Creator God. Man could NEVER work hard enough on his own to be acceptable to God, because of our sin-sick nature.

However, Christ in His crucifixion took that sin on His perfect being, and when He rose, those who believe in Him have been raised WITH Him in Heavenly places. This world is not our home. We are just passing through. Acceptance of the gift of Resurrection unites us to the eternal Father and gives us. access to a true relationship with Him.

What a beautiful gift of grace, that doesn't require good works but produces good works because of His love towards us!

Let's rejoice in His goodness! He is risen! He is risen, INDEED!

Today's Lesson:
The Resurrection changes the course of everything for ALL who believe!

Today is Holy Saturday.
On this day in Holy Week, Jesus lay in His grave while His loved ones and disciples mourned.

Meanwhile, while things look bleak for the followers of Christ, He was not just in the grave but would overcome it

There are seasons that appear hopeless and heavy, but Christ understands that, too.
In fact, there's no feeling that we felt that He himself has not experienced. Even when it is dark, if we trust in Christ, there is always hope! But sitting in the sorrow matters because it's the power of Hope that heals the sorrow. Christ is our Hope!

God is always at work because He's always been at work! He never stops working!

While Christ's body lay in the tomb, there seemed to be nothing at work. But even in the stillness of death, He was winning our victory.

Today's Lesson:
God is ALWAYS at work
(even when we don't see it)!

Tomorrow is Resurrection Day/Easter, when we'll highlight the primary event that changed everything!

Stay tuned...

Today is Good Friday.

On this day in Holy Week, Christ was crucified at 12 noon, to be exact.

But before that, He was forced to carry the wooden cross that His body would soon die on. It was under the Roman rule, which was known for having the highest level of torture via crucifixion.

Christ carried His own cross until His human body could no longer bear it. The cross represents the sins of all those who believe in Him.

As He gave up His spirit and died, the curtain in the Temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom. The curtain is what gave access to the presence of God.

Only the high priest was allowed to enter, but ONLY after a suitable animal sacrifice was made using a spotless/perfect lamb. That would temporarily be a substitute for the sins of the people and appease the wrath of a Holy God, who can have no sin in His presence.

Yet, with the sacrifice of Christ, He is our High Priest AND the perfect sacrificial substitutionary Lamb. He died for the sins of ALL who believe once and for all! This is why no more blood sacrifices are needed. Because the perfect Lamb who is fully. God and fully man took the place of man and offered Himself as the sacrifice.

It's a beautiful story that changes everything for us!

So, let’s not rush to the resurrection and bypass the sacrifice. Without the sacrifice, there would be no resurrection.

Christ took our punishment, and we know it was for His glory and our good.

Today's Lesson:
Let’s not rush to the resurrection and bypass the sacrifice.

Tomorrow is Holy Saturday, when we'll highlight the next Holy Week events.
