Missionaries: Beyond These Walls 💙💚
What a powerful and meaningful Sunday at Saint Luke A.M.E. Church as we celebrated 95 years of the Emma S. Freeman Women’s Missionary Society and 87 years of the Young People’s & Children’s Division (YPD)!
This day reminded us that ministry is more than what happens inside the sanctuary, it is how faith moves into communities, generations, and everyday lives. Rooted in love, growing in faith, and serving all generations, we honored the legacy of those who paved the way while celebrating the leaders and young people carrying the mission forward.
A special thank you to Rev. Valerie Cousin for delivering a riveting and timely word: “The mission didn’t end; it’s just the beginning.”
Those words challenged us to keep serving, keep building, keep reaching, and keep going beyond these walls.
To our Women’s Missionary Society and Young People’s Division, thank you for your witness, your work, and your unwavering commitment to the Kingdom.
The mission continues. The work continues. And by God’s grace, so do we. 💙💚
