"Let The Feeling Flow."

Did you ever wonder at times why there were/are times in your life where it seems things don't work out? Where your flow of thoughts take a detour and vanish?

To remedy the situation, we must take corrective action. Clear our minds and don't allow negativity to interrupt what we know as our flow, for instance, the unencumbered process of a thought or feeling coming into you and traveling through your body without a diversion.

Believers of Jesus know He is the living water seeking to flow through us. We must remove any blockages, such as resentment, guilt, or shame. Allow the negative to exit while the Spirit flows through us so that someone else may receive His blessings!

We must constantly keep our systems clean so that the Spirit may continue to flow through us all!

NPC NYC Sunday Service, May 17, 2026
Selection: John 17: 1-11

Today's musical selection by Music Minister Tim is "Crown Him With Many Crowns."

"Glory Ain't What You Think It Might Be!"

When thinking about the definition of glory, what do some people come up with?

Some may think of glory as the possession of material wealth and expensive clothing that sets you apart from others. Others may believe that political power and self-promotion (on social media, etc.) are the ultimate forms of glorification. Some may even adhere to the prosperity gospel to attain their definition of glory.

Those people may want to think again.

Jesus provides our example of what true glory is. It is the opposite of the general definition. Jesus came from heaven, becoming a human being to be born into this world. Why? To eventually atone for OUR sins!

Jesus expressed His glory through His love for us, as He emptied Himself by going to the cross to die for us! Jesus actions are the complete opposite of today's definition of glory!

The cross reveals the depth of Jesus' love, reminding us of the promise of eternal life. Eternal life is not the duration of time after we die. It is the quality of our union with Jesus, beginning with the very minute we believe in Him!

Glory has nothing to do with earthly power; it is self-service and humility as taught by Jesus!

Happy Mother's Day!!

05/10/2026

NPC NYC Sunday Service, May 10, 2026
Selections: Psalm 139, John 14: 15-21, John 16: 17-22, and 1 John 2: 1-2.

Today's musical selection is by Music Minister Tim is "Where The World Falls Away."

"The Mothering Love Of Jesus."

What do mothers and Jesus have in common?

They both advocate for us, mothers in the earthly realm, and Jesus in the spiritual realm. As Satan seeks to attack us in an attempt to destroy us, Jesus rises to our defense because of His bond with us! Just as some forces on earth seek to attack us, our mothers rise to our defense as a result of the mother-child bond.

We are blessed to have the love and protection of our mothers, just as we are blessed to have the love and protection of Jesus! This means we are doubly protected and blessed!

Today's musical selection is "Goodness Of God" by Jenn Johnson.

"A Shepard And The Sheep."

Think about a shepherd for a moment. What are some of the tasks that a shepherd undertakes?

A shepherd obviously tends to sheep that are unable to take care of themselves. In times of stress, shepherds calm the fears of sheep. They also resolve conflicts and friction amongst the flock, so the group can continue moving forward in a positive direction.

Shepherds anoint the heads of sheep with oil to rid them of parasites and make the sheep lie down in pastures to rest. With rest comes refreshment and restoration, and a continuation down the right path to their destination.

This does not prevent problems from arising. Predatory enemies lurk wherever sheep travel. When this happens, the shepherd walks with the sheep and will not remain in problematic locations.

Does this sound familiar?

Replace the title of shepherd with God, and we are the sheep. All that shepherds do for sheep, God does for us!

God guides us and makes our lives bearable in difficult times, but He walks with us at ALL times. He may not remove enemies, but will show up in front of them!

When God guides us to walk down a righteous path, we will live fruitful lives that bring glory to God!
