It's been an inspiring and emotional last two days to close out Run Home Texas 2026...

Yesterday we put in the work getting campers ready for the big game today. It's incredible to see how far our volunteer coaches have brought these boys in just a few short days!

We also welcomed our friends from kingdomdogministries and in the evening we surprised the boys with a poolside birthday party! It was definitely an evening to remember!

This morning was the big game, the camp finale All-Star game, and the boys were more than ready to play! It was a hard-hitting and fun-filled event with both teams performing exceptionally well - doubles, triples, and even one homer with great defensive plays from both sides.

Goodbyes were harder this year with many tears of love shared between campers and coaches. We thank God for allowing us the honor of serving these campers and we will remember for a long time all that He did this week at Run Home Camps.

Special thanks again to our community partners this year who joined the mission to bring hope, healing, and honor to boys in foster care. We're so glad to have you on the team:

Today the boys were treated to a special experience sponsored by our friends at Texas Family Care Network. What a blessing they are to our region of Texas by helping to bring the community together for children in need. Thank you TFCN... we're honored to have your support!

This morning our campers enjoyed a private tour of Daikin Park and got to throw pitches in the visiting bullpen! Our tour host was moved to tears when one of our campers took an opportunity to lead our group in prayer after hearing about an injured pitcher who was working out on the field below! Just like our lesson today, God's presence was with us indeed!

More fun awaited us back at camp with our very first Run Home Texas Rodeo where we learned that these boys are not only good at baseball, they're cowboys too! We're closing out the day in the best way possible - with an evening practice session on the ball field. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Run Home Camps

Day 2 of camp is almost done and it was another wonderful day at Run Home Texas. Campers received their team uniforms, took team pictures, and spent more time on the field in preparation for our upcoming All-Star game. Great job today boys!

We also made more fun memories off the field and enjoyed the chicken sandwhich lunch boxes donated by Chick Fil A Willis. Thank you for stepping up to the plate with Run Home Camps to bring hope, healing, and honor to boys in our community who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Today’s lesson. God’s protection - He watches over us to keep us “safe!” Thank you God for another day of your protection for these campers!

A fantastic first day with an incredible group of boys and volunteers at Run Home Texas! The boys quickly embraced rule #1 of camp - cheer for everyone - and their connections with one another and their coaches is really showing up fast. A great day of getting to know one another, learning baseball, having fun, and seeing how God gives us what we need to win!

We’re also cheering Crust Pizza Co. - Willis for going to bat for kids in foster care in our community and donating delicious pizzas for dinner tonight!

Amazing effort by our dedicated Run Home Texas volunteer staff to get us ready to host more than a dozen boys from foster care this week. We’re excited to see the faces of our new and returning campers tomorrow morning and honored to spend this week with them having fun, playing baseball, and sharing what it truly means to “Run Home!”
