Our sympathy to the family of Sally Young.

Sally Jacqueline Young, 77, passed away on May 11, 2026, at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Sally was born on October 19, 1948, in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Leo and Inez (Frakes) Price and was a proud 1966 graduate of Shelby High School. She worked at GAF Shelby Business Forms Inc. and later at Firestone before dedicating herself to being a stay‑at‑home mother and homemaker.

Sally was a deeply supportive mother and grandmother who poured her heart into her family’s interests. She loved following Cleveland, Columbus, and Tennessee sports and was a voracious reader who devoured any book she could get her hands on. She loved hearing people’s stories, often while working on a good puzzle. She cherished her time tutoring and generously supported many charities and organizations.

Springtime brought her joy as she planted flowers—while waging her annual battle to keep squirrels out of her baskets. She excelled in the kitchen, cooking and baking for those she loved, and was especially known for making the best chocolate chip cookies.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Robert Leroy Young, and her infant siblings, Michael Dane and Ann Victoria.

She is survived by her son, Neil (Christin) Young of Philadelphia, TN, and her daughter, Natalie (James) Frankart of Bowling Green, OH. a sister, Sue Kochheiser; and a brother, Allen Price. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Owen and Olivia Young, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 18, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Washington, Ohio, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of her service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Mohr officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Washington, Ohio. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
