(You might ask, "If words are so powerful, then why aren't they coming to pass instantly all the time?" You might say, "That scared me to death!" But you don't drop over literally dead! True! Thank God! If so, we would have a lot of dead Christians to bury! No, the Bible teaches that the mouth, or the tongue, "sets in motion the cycle of natural events." It is, therefore, a process! What the Bible says in James 3:6 is, "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.") Amen 🙏🏾

(Don't tell me I can lose my salvation... my sins have been washed away by the blood of Jesus! I am a "purchased possession." The Holy Spirit is God's claim upon me as His own, which means the Devil cannot claim my soul to Hell. You cannot affect my salvation. I cannot change my eternal security. God has placed His down payment within my body—the Holy Spirit of God.) Amen 🙏🏾

(Look at our manner of speech. Is it praising God and having grace--merciful kindness turning people to Christ, strengthening them in the faith, knowledge and affection, kindling them the desire to exercise Christian virtues? Our speech and our actions are to be with grace to the household. Galatians 6:10 says; as we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto them who are of the household of faith.) Amen 🙏🏾

Speaking God’s Word brings God's power and authority to bear on a physical problem! Consider the fact that the centurion that Jesus marveled at (because of his faith) understood this principle. Matthew 8:8 says, "The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." Note, that he "was not worthy" because he understood that he had no covenant with God at that time, as he was not of Jewish heritage in the natural, but he understood that Jesus was walking in covenant, and in authority, with God. He said, "Speak the word only... and my servant shall be healed!") Amen 🙏🏾

(Pews are filled with those who practice "religion" only on Sundays but when they leave church, revert back to their old ways of living, the ways of the world. Are you faithfully reading your bible daily to see what is expected of you? If so, do you pray daily that the Holy Spirit will give you guidance and understanding? If not, how do you think you're going to know what is expected of you and how you are to conduct yourself so as to be the light of the world? Many don't care; they simply think that going to church on Sunday is enough. But is it? Worship isn't done in the church; it's done in the mission field. That's starts outside the door of the church when you go back into the world. That's where the true worship begins, in doing the Will of God and by being a witness to the worldly.) Amen 🙏🏾

Christians have hope that unbelievers do not have when we lose loved ones. There is hope beyond the grave for Christians, and part of that hope is that, at the return of Christ, those who have already died "will rise first". After that, Christians who are still alive will be transformed. Both groups will be "caught up" and will meet the Lord in the air. Apostle Paul uses the common euphemism of sleep to refer to those who have died in Christ, i.e., believers. Paul wants to comfort his readers that those Christians who have died prior to the return of Christ will not miss out on anything. That is why he says "But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope".) Amen 🙏🏾

(If you are a true Christian, Christ loves you. But if you lack the assurance of your salvation, examine your life to make sure you are saved. Don't doubt the Lord's love, for Apostle Paul said, "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Roman 5:8). Amen 🙏🏾

(Our Savior Jesus told a parable about a farmer who sowed plant seeds in the ground, and the story represented how people can grow spiritually. Some seed was picked away (like people picked off by evil lies), some seed didn't take root because it was planted in poor quality soil (like people who allow life's cares and troubles to distract them from making it their top priority to pursue God), and some seed couldn't grow because it got choked out by weeds (like people who allow the world's values to choke out biblical values in their lives). Only the seed that fell on good soil grew to maturity - capable of bearing a harvest that could reproduce itself, like spiritually mature Christians who can lead others to relationships with Jesus. Don't be someone who believes in Jesus yet isn't staying close enough to Him to grow. Root yourself in good spiritual soil so you can grow to become the person God intends you to be.) Amen 🙏🏾

(If you don’t know who Jesus Christ is, if you’ve been taught He is just a man, if you have wonderings and stirrings within you, I invite you to take a closer look at His life, His gospels, His teachings, and to ask God if Jesus is not His Son, through whom you can find all you need for happiness and salvation. I testify that He is the answer if you are seeking to find peace. He is your Advocate. Knowing Jesus Christ is within your reach. “In an increasingly unjust world, to survive and even to find happiness and joy, no matter what comes, we must make our stand unequivocally with the Lord Jesus.) Amen 🙏🏾

(The Bible is clear that every person is alienated and separated from God because of our sin (Colossians 1:21). That means even the best of us are actually unable to approach God to offer worship or prayer. Because of our sins, we remain at a distance from Him. But the Bible tells Christians to come boldly into God’s presence, “We have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrews 10:19). If you are a Christian today, you can have boldness and confidence as you approach God with your prayers and your worship, because you are no longer far away from God, “Now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been made near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:13). It is because of the blood of Jesus Christ that we have the great privilege of pouring our hearts out to God (Psalm 62:8) casting our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7) and praying any time and any place in the power of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18). Does your prayer life reflect the kind of relationship you have with God through the blood of His Son?) Amen 🙏🏾

(Our Savior Jesus Christ has come to the land, and in one of his first sermons he took the book of the prophet Isaiah in the synagogue in Nazareth, “he found the place where it is written: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.’ Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, ‘Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing'” Luke 4:17-21) Amen 🙏🏾

(Think of what would have happened to us if Christ had not gone with the soldiers “as a lamb to the slaughter” that night. What if He had called on those legions of angels, and had escaped the Cross? What would have happened to you and me? First, we would have had no one to vicariously pay the price for our sins on the Cross. We would have no substitute, no one to die in our place for sin. That would have left us in a truly horrible condition. We would have to pay for our own sin in the dark bowels of Hell for all eternity. Second, if Christ had not gone with those soldiers “as a lamb to the slaughter,” we would have had no mediator between us and a Holy and Just God. We would have had to face God at the Last Judgment with no one to intercede for us to God, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” I Timothy 2:5) Amen 🙏🏾
