Starting this Sunday, a bin will be in our foyer for Project Lunchbox. Project Lunchbox exists to ensure that no New Richmond student goes hungry when the school week ends. Our mission is to provide students facing food insecurity with nutritious, easy-to-prepare food to take home each Friday, helping bridge the gap between school meals and Monday morning. Through the generosity of our church and our community, we seek to meet a simple but essential need; giving every child the opportunity to enjoy their weekend without worrying about where their next meal will come from. Because hunger shouldn’t follow a child home. Help support this very vital ministry!

Today, we had the privilege of surrounding our students and school staff and praying over them as they prepare for another school year.

Heavenly Father, as a new school year begins, we place every student, teacher, administrator, bus driver, aide, counselor, custodian, cafeteria worker, coach, and school employee into Your hands.

Lord, go before them. Protect our students as they walk through the doors of their schools. Guard their hearts and minds. Give them courage when they feel nervous, strength when the days are difficult, wisdom when they face decisions, and kindness toward those around them.

Help them remember that their identity is not found in a grade, a position, a team, a friend group, or the approval of others. Remind them that they are created by You, loved by You, and have purpose in You.

Father, strengthen our teachers and school staff. Give them patience on the hard days, wisdom for every challenge, compassion for every child, and encouragement when their work feels unnoticed. Remind them that what they do matters and that the investment they make in the lives of young people can have an impact far beyond the classroom.

Bless our administrators with wisdom as they lead. Protect those who transport our children. Strengthen those who serve behind the scenes. Give our coaches and advisors the opportunity to shape character as well as ability.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over every school in our community. May our classrooms be places of learning, our hallways places of kindness, our athletic fields places of character, and our schools places where every child knows they have value.

When anxiety comes, bring peace.
When discouragement comes, bring hope.
When temptation comes, provide a way out.
When loneliness comes, send a friend.
When mistakes happen, give grace to begin again.

And Lord, use Your people this year. Let our students and staff carry the light of Christ wherever they go, not simply through the words they speak, but through the way they love, serve, forgive, encourage, and treat others.

May this be more than just another school year. May it be a year of growth, friendships, opportunities, changed lives, and moments that will matter for eternity.

We pray over our students.
We pray over our teachers.
We pray over our staff.
We pray over our schools.

Lord, go before them, walk beside them, and watch over them every single day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

“The LORD will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8 (ESV)

Today was a beautiful reminder that the Church is never just a building, it is people living out the love of Christ. After the tornado impacted our community, so many of you showed up with chainsaws, trailers, trucks, gloves, water, food, and most importantly, willing hearts. Families, neighbors, friends, and our Connection Point Church family worked side by side to help those with a ton of tree devastation.

Thank you to every person who gave your time, energy, and compassion today. Your willingness to serve reminded our community that even after the strongest storms, hope is still alive. We may not have been able to fix everything in a single day, but together we made a difference, and I know many families felt loved because of your kindness.

Scripture tells us, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

Please continue praying for those impacted. The cleanup will continue, and so will the opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

I’m incredibly grateful to serve alongside each of you. This is what loving our neighbors looks like. ~Pastor
