This Sunday we explored what it means to live with a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit. Even though believers have the Spirit dwelling within them, we can easily resist or quench His work through distraction, pride, worry, or sin; ultimately being led by the desires of the flesh. True transformation and sanctification do not happen by our own limited willpower, but through the Spirit empowering us to overcome the misdeeds of the body. To cultivate a life led by the Holy Spirit, we must actively practice filling our minds with God’s Word, expanding our ears through Christian community, and obeying the Spirit’s inner promptings. Ultimately, walking in the Spirit is an ongoing daily commitment for every follower of Jesus.

Once again we are having a special Missions Morning to hear about FCA. If you don't know what that is, you really should find out! Come Sunday, August 23rd at 9:15am as Anna Mertens (Jay & Joyce Wolf's granddaughter) will share about her heart and the impact she is striving to have with youth in this region of Wisconsin.

This Sunday's message focused on our commitment as Christians to the whole mission of the Church. Based on two foundational passages of Scripture, the church's mission can defined by four core elements: worship, compassion, evangelism, and discipleship.

Worship involves loving God with our entire being and offering our daily lives as a living sacrifice. Compassion naturally flows from loving God, compelling us to care for the needs of our neighbors. Evangelism is the outward proclamation of the Good News, inviting others into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. And discipleship focuses on inward growth, as believers walk alongside one another to teach, encourage, and mature in faith so that others may eternally live.

🎉 Huge News! 🎉

Thanks to our amazing community, this year’s annual garage sale was a massive success! Together, we raised $6,479.17! All of the proceeds goes directly to support our local Five Loaves Food Shelf here in New Richmond, WI.

Thank you to everyone who donated items, volunteers who gave of their time, and the many who came out to shop and support a great cause. We couldn't have done it without you! ❤️🙌

This morning is the last chance to check out our Annual Garage Sale! We are open from 8AM-Noon. Almost everything is priced as a "free will donation." Get some last minute deals while directly serving people in need in our community as the proceeds from this sale are going to support Five Loaves Food Shelf in New Richmond!

We are blown away by the turnout for Day 1 of our Garage Sale! Together, we brought in almost $4,000 to benefit our local food shelf and we’re just getting started. ♥️
