To our congregation and the wider community,
We want to begin by apologizing sincerely for the delay in our communication. We recognize that the lack of a timely public response has caused confusion, concern, and frustration, and for that we are truly sorry.
After prayer, careful review, and multiple discussions, the leadership asked our pastor to resign following the discovery of financial discrepancies and ongoing leadership disagreements. This decision was not made lightly. It was reached after considering the responsibilities entrusted to us and the importance of maintaining integrity, accountability, and unity within our church.
While we are limited in what we can share publicly, we want to be clear that we are committed to transparency, ethical stewardship, and responsible leadership. We understand the seriousness of this moment and the impact it has on our congregation and community.
Moving Forward
We are taking the following steps to ensure stability and trust as we move ahead:
Establishing interim pastoral leadership to continue worship, care, and ministry without interruption
Conducting an independent review of financial practices and strengthening oversight and accountability measures
Reaffirming clear leadership roles, policies, and expectations
Creating opportunities for the congregation to receive updates and ask questions in appropriate settings
Our mission and values remain unchanged. We are committed to learning from this situation, strengthening our governance, and caring well for our church family.
We ask for your continued prayers, grace, and patience as we take these steps together. Thank you for your faithfulness and for walking with us during this challenging time.
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight. So that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ. Philippians 1:9-10 (NIV)
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness,”
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
With humility and commitment,
The Church Leadership Team
