It is possible to do super spiritual stuff with selfish motivations, but without love it means nothing. To say it another way, the fruit of the Spirit is more important than the Gifts of the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:27-31 contains one of the most confusing, controversial, and divisive lists in all of scripture. Ironically it’s a list of Spirit Gifts meant to build up the body of Christ. But with proper understanding, and humble hearts, this list will build up the church, not tear it down. It will bring clarity, not confusion. We want to be a Spirit filled church. We want to be a Spirit led church. The last thing we want to be is afraid of the Holy Spirit! But we also don’t want any cheap imitations either! We want THE Holy Spirit!

🚨CHURCH PICNIC CANCELLED 🚨
Due to the thunderstorms and rain headed to our area, the picnic has sadly been cancelled. Rain, mud and humidity do not make for a very fun picnic day!
