Acts 19:35-41 (35) And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

36 Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.

37 For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.

38 Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.

39 But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.

40 For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.

41 And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

Isaiah 31
King James Version
1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.
3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord shall stretch out his hand, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.
4 For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
5 As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.
6 Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited.
9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the ensign, saith the Lord, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 30:1-18 (1) Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

4 For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.

5 They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.

6 The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.

7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.

8 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:

9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord:

10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:

13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

14 And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.

15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.

16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.

17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.

18 And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Romans 8:28-39 (28) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jesus, God the Son took your sins upon himself when he died on the cross. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) For he (God the Father) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him Then, Jesus' soul went to Hell because of your sins. Acts 2:31 (KJV) He [David] seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his [Jesus Christ's] soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. After three days Jesus' soul was not left in Hell as he arose from the dead. Jesus went into Heaven with his blood to wash away all of your sins in the Judgment Books. Only Jesus' blood in Heaven can wash away your sins Revelation 1:5 {KJV} And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, -->>So, when God calls your name on Judgment Day and looks in the Judgment Books for your sins there will be no sins to judge because Jesus took your sins and punishment. This is called being Justified: Just-as-if-I'd never sinned. Romans 5:1{KJV} Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: --> Now, God wants to save you from your sins and Hell, but he will not force you. 2 Peter 3:9{KJV} The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ---->>You must be sorry for sinning against God. 2 Corinthians 7:10 {KJV} For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation... You must be willing to stop sinning. This is called repentance. 1 Corinthians 15:34 {KJV} Awake to righteousness, and sin not;... Also, you must believe Jesus is God the Son, and fully trust in what he did to save you. Acts 8:37{KJV} And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest {be baptized}. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Romans 10:9{KJV} That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. -->In this trust, this means you are willing to die to your wants, live for Jesus, and obey Jesus. Mark 8:35 {KJV} For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my (Jesus'} sake and the gospel's {telling others about Jesus and living right}, the same shall save it -->>That is the meaning of water baptism. Water baptism is a picture of what happened to you when you truly believed in Jesus Christ and got saved. When you go under the water that is a picture of you dying to yourself. When you are under the water that is a picture of being buried, never to return to your old sinful life again. When you come up out of the water that is a picture of your new life to live for God. Romans 6:4 {KJV} Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should also walk in newness of life.-------->>>Are you tired of your sinful life? Do you fear going to Hell? Do you fear God who can cast you into Hell? Matthew 10:28 {KJV} And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Did you know that Paul wrote this passage while sitting in a prison cell? He didn't know what his future held--whether he'd be freed or punished or killed--but he had learned to be content in all situations and circumstances---good or bad. How many of us can make that claim? Philippians 4: 4-13 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Colossians 2:1-10 (1) For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

If the church is to remain faithful, we must get daily spiritual nourishment from God's Word. Through study and application--both individually and corporately--we will learn to be guided by God's wisdom and to let false doctrine and error "go in one ear and out the other"
A church body that is knitted together in love, unity, and belief in Jesus will be immovable in the world. Take a moment to pray for faithful fellowship among believers and for a foundation of strong belief.

Luke 15:11-32 (11) And he said, A certain man had two sons:

12 And the younger of them said to his father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21 And the son said unto him, father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

Today I am studying from Charles Stanley's In Touch Ministries booklet for today's date. I think he is wonderful, though I do compare his scriptural references to the KJV, as I go forward in my studies, so as to use the KJV Bible as my final authority. That is my preferred method of studying.________________>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If we hope to resist the enemy's schemes , it is important to clear up any confusion regarding salvation. So let's consider three crucial steps of the conversion process, so that we may be CONFIDENT ABOUT OUR CONVERSION--------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>> -------------------------------->>>>>>> First, WE MUST KNOW SOMETHING. The first step is that we must grasp what our condition WAS, apart from the Savior. Ephesians 2:1 makes it clear that left to ourselves, we were all spiritually dead. And Ephesians 2:2 makes it plain that our walk at that time was OF THE WORLD, and not of our LORD. Without the sacrifice of Jesus, there, there wouldn't be eternal life for anyone, let alone ALL.---->Secondly, WE MUST BELIEVE SOMETHING------------------>>>>The good news is that God provided a means of salvation that IS open to all people. Scripture explains that our loving Heavenly Father , of His own initiative, made a way for our sin debt to be paid, so we can dwell with Him forever. ( Ephesians 2; 4-9 )-----> And lastly, WE MUST RECEIVE SOMETHING----------In order to claim any gift, we must first open our hands (and heart) to receive it. The Father is reaching out to mankind, offering His free gift of salvation. Once we have taken it, it is ours to keep---forever.---------as Scripture states plainly in Romans 10: 8-13.------------->>>>>> Are you a believer whom is empowered by God's Spirit, and ---completely confident about salvation? Then YOU are a force to be reckoned with! If you have known, believed, and received God's gift of salvation, you can stand in full assurance today.
