What a wonderful evening representing Pine Grove Church at the Fishertown Memorial Day Parade!

We were thankful for the opportunity to partner with Bowser Dental on their fun “Keeping Cavities Extinct” dinosaur float and connect with so many people in our community. Along the parade route, we handed out Pine Grove Church pens along with invitation cards sharing our church address and service time — Sundays at 9:45 AM. We loved being able to spread encouragement, smiles, and an invitation to worship with us!

On Memorial Day, we also pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the words found in:

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13

Thank you again to Bowser Dental for allowing us to be part of such a creative and community-focused float. We are blessed to live in a community that comes together in such meaningful ways.

We were blessed to welcome guest speaker Tim Mock this Memorial Day Weekend as he shared an encouraging and challenging message about purpose, identity, and the calling God has placed on each of our lives.
Tim reminded us that every person has a purpose, and God has already given us the power and authority to fulfill it. He encouraged us to look inward to find “the church,” reminding us that the church is not simply the building we gather in each week—it is the people who make up the body of Christ.
Using the story from Book of Genesis of Jacob and Esau, Tim spoke about how Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of soup, challenging us with the question: What have we traded our God-given birthright for?
He also reminded us that things are not always as they seem, and that God has called and equipped His people to go out and make disciples. The time to step into that calling is now.
As we gathered on Memorial Day weekend, we also took time to recognize and honor the veterans in attendance for their service and sacrifice. We are deeply thankful for those who have served our country and the freedoms we are blessed with every day.
Thank you, Tim, for sharing a message that challenged us to reflect, grow, and walk boldly in the purpose God has given us.

What a powerful morning we had this past Sunday at Pine Grove Church!

We were blessed to have guest speaker Rob Mock share a message titled “Gray Areas: Solving for X.” Through Scripture from throughout the Bible—including the Book of Daniel, Epistle to the Romans, Book of Psalms, and many more—we were reminded that when it comes to salvation and our relationship with Jesus, there are no “gray areas.”

The foundation begins with establishing a true relationship with Christ. We must recognize our need to be saved and understand that salvation is a free gift given through Jesus Christ—not something we can earn on our own.

Rob shared the powerful reminder that Jesus came for us at our lowest and most distant point, willingly dying for our sins so we could have eternal life. Salvation is free, simple, and available to all who believe and follow Him.

Thank you, Rob, for sharing God’s Word and encouraging us to continue walking faithfully in relationship with Him.

🌿 Midweek Reminder 🌿

Sometimes God calms the storm.
Sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child.

No matter what this week has looked like so far, don’t lose heart. God is still faithful, still present, and still working behind the scenes—even in the moments we don’t understand.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

What a powerful Mother’s Day service we shared at Pine Grove Church Sunday️.

We were blessed to hear a moving testimony from Owen Leydig titled “God is a Restorer,” based on Book of Isaiah 66:13 and First Epistle to the Thessalonians 5:17.

Owen shared his personal journey through alcohol addiction, brokenness, and ultimately finding hope and restoration through God. He spoke about the many “full circle moments” in his life—times when God brought him back to truth, purpose, and the realization that He had never stopped working.

He also shared his desire to follow God’s calling into ministry and become a pastor someday.

One of the most meaningful parts of the message was hearing how his mother continually prayed for his safety and future, even during seasons when their relationship was strained. On Mother’s Day especially, it was a beautiful reminder of the power of a praying mother and the restoring love of God.

We are thankful for Owen’s honesty, courage, and willingness to share how God can redeem any story. 🙏

Join us this Sunday as we welcome guest speaker Owen Leydig sharing a personal testimony titled “God is a Restorer.”

Jacob has been a dedicated part of the Pine Grove Church family for the past 8 years. If you’ve joined us on a Sunday morning, chances are you’ve seen Jacob helping open the service—welcoming everyone, sharing announcements, and leading us through prayer requests. His steady presence helps set the tone for each service and keeps our church family connected and informed.
