Daily Dependence on the Holy Spirit

WHAT INSIDE ME NEEDED TO DO THAT?

Not just, “What did they do?”
Not just, “Why did that happen?”
Not just, “Who was wrong?”

What inside me needed the last word?
Needed to be recognized?
Needed control?
Needed to feel safe?
Needed revenge?
Needed to escape?

The Holy Ghost does not search us to degrade us. He searches us so the wound, fear, pride, and appetite beneath the reaction do not keep making decisions in our name.

Conviction is not divine humiliation. It is mercy refusing to leave us governed by what Jesus came to heal.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalm 139:23–24 KJV

Name the motive honestly. Do not hate yourself for needing God to govern it.
