Christmas may have been months ago, but the Giving Machine Hbgpa is still giving. Dennis Rehm from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presented a shadowbox and gift basket to Beth Kempf, Executive Director of Community Cares and Erik Larson, Development Director. They were one of our five local charities in the Giving Machines.

All are welcome to join the watch party for a truly epic event! The Tabernacle Choir (formerly the Mormon Tabernacle Choir) and Orchestra on Temple Square will perform at the Hollywood Bowl! The Relief Society is the women’s organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, dedicated to fostering spiritual strength and improving the welfare of our sisters and brothers around the world. Organized in 1842, the Relief Society is more than 7 million women strong today.

President Camille N. Johnson was sustained as the 18th Relief Society General President for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2022. President Johnson graduated from the University of Utah in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in English followed by a law degree from the University of Utah in 1989. She practiced law for nearly 30 years. President Johnson served with her husband as a mission leader in Arequipa, Peru. She also served as the Primary General President for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was currently serving in that role when she was called as the Relief Society General President. Camille Neddo was born to Hal and Dorothy Neddo in Pocatello, Idaho on September 12, 1963. She married Douglas R. Johnson on July 31, 1987, in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of three sons and presently have eight grandchildren.
