Tomorrow, at 2:00 pm, at Botanica Macumba, 3154 Saint Claude, will be a chaplet for Santa Muerte for the purposes addressing justice against those who are acting unjustly, in light of the George Floyd verdict and in society in general. We will be giving away bowls of pozole afterwards as well. It will be open to the public. We will “socially distance the chairs” and expect every one to be masked.

This Sunday, the 25th, at 4, we will have a Chaplet for Santisima Muerte here. We will begin promptly at 4. We will require masks of all inside. We will limit the number of people to 18, as space is limited. This is a free, public event, but donations are appreciated.

Following this, we will more than likely he another Chaplet in the Day Of The Dead, Nov. 2nd.

The New Orleans Chapel of the Santisima Muerte is open now, 11am-7pm, Monday through Saturday inside Botanica Macumba, at 3154 Saint Claude Avenue.

Also, we will be holding a chaplet here, at location on Sunday, the 25th. But we will make an event page for this separately, as, due to the current coronavirus restrictions designated by the City of New Orleans, we can only have up to a specific amount of people, obviously and safely, bemasked. Keep an eye out here for further updates!

The New Orleans Chapel of Santisima Muerte explicitly stands with with those fighting for freedom and equality in the streets right now and we ask her to defend them against the machinations of evil empires, against hatred, against brutality. May she guard them with her scythe, may she cloak them with her mantle, may they see the truth in her globe that her power cover the whole earth, may she tip the scales in the favor of the oppressed. May Telecote ride out in the night and visit their power upon tyrants. May all the Owls of La Dama Poderosa spread wing. May cactus defend your home and aloe heal your pain. In the name of Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Today, Good Friday, is a big day for La Muerte, the day she, by command of God, was to take the life of Jesus Christ. I consider this one of her most important days. Consider making her some food, offerings, or say a rosary! This is an especially big day to pray for protection up to Easter. May you all be blessed in your devotions.
