Let’s go get it!

“Now Joshua was old and advanced in years, and the Lord said to him, “You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to possess. This is the land that yet remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all those of the Geshurites (from the Shihor, which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, it is counted as Canaanite; there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and those of the Avvim, in the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the boundary of the Amorites, and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo-hamath, all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians. 🏈 CALLING ALL YOUTH ATHLETES & FAMILIES IN NEW ORLEANS! 🏈

The 18th Ward is hosting NFL Flag Football tryouts on January 13th & 15th, and we’re excited to share that Devoted Dreams Foundation will be partnering with them to help build an ELITE NFL Flag team!

This team will:
✔ Compete in NFL Flag Football
✔ Travel during the spring & summer
✔ Focus on character, discipline, and high-level competition

If you have a young athlete who loves the game and is ready to grow on and off the field, this is a great opportunity.

📅 Tryout Dates: January 13th & 15th
📍 Location: Hosted by the 18th Ward
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Open to New Orleans youth & families

Big shout out to some incredible partners and friends! 🙌🏾

First off, huge thanks to Demario & Tamela Davis and the Devoted Dreamers Foundation for inviting us to a New Orleans Saints home game and blessing our team with 30 tickets! 🎟️ The way you serve this city—and how you pour into our youth—is truly inspiring.

Because of the Devoted Dreamers’ heart, we were also connected to Ms. Wande and her amazing team at Jim Hall & Associates LLC, who surprised our boys by buying their food at the same game. Talk about blessings on top of blessings! 🙏🏾

And it didn’t stop there—Jim Hall & Associates have now partnered with Rebuild Ministries NOLA to help families right here in the 9th Ward. That’s what community looks like! 💪🏾

Lastly, a huge salute to The 18th Ward Sports Club! When our tackle football season couldn’t launch, they stepped up and gave our young men a home in their flag football league. We went 7-0 and brought home the championship! 🏆

Thank you all for playing a major role in my life, in the lives of our kids, and in the future of our city.

🎉 We hit our goal — and look what God is already doing!

Thanks to your generosity, our matching grant campaign was a success — and we’re already seeing the fruit.

💧 We celebrated our first baptism of the school year — what a powerful way to kick things off!
🐴 Our first horseback riding weekend at Camp Restoration just wrapped. New saddles and gear are in, and our young people are experiencing peace, joy, and healing out at the farm.
🏈 Our Samson Knight flag football team is now 5-0 — undefeated! The team is growing in confidence, brotherhood, and Christlike character.
📖 Our Legacy Builders students are digging into the Word — both Old and New Testaments — and learning life-changing skills like clean eating, budgeting, and maintaining a car.

🙏 Thank you for obeying God’s call to give. Your support is literally changing lives.

Keep praying, keep sharing, and keep building with us. We’re just getting started.
