❤️ This weekend, a special moment in the life of our local Church will take place as Archbishop Checchio consecrates the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

To mark this occasion, the Feast of the Sacred Heart will be celebrated throughout the Archdiocese on Sunday, June 14. Join us in prayer as we entrust our Church, our families, and our community to the loving Heart of Christ. 🙏

For more about this consecration and how it can transform our homes and families, watch this special episode of The Point Man Podcast with Archbishop Checchio.

A beautiful opportunity for faith and devotion is coming next month. ✨

On July 12, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling will welcome and permanently install a First-Class Relic of St. Sharbel, the beloved Maronite saint known for his deep holiness, powerful intercession, and the many miracles attributed to his prayers.

The day will include Mass, the installation ceremony, an inspirational talk by Raymond Nader, founder of the Family of St. Sharbel, and an opportunity for the faithful to venerate the relic and receive a blessing with St. Sharbel's holy oil.

May this sacred occasion inspire renewed faith and draw many hearts closer to Christ through the intercession of St. Sharbel.

We join the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans in celebrating the ordination of four new priests this past weekend: Father Brett Barrios, Father Will Sigl, Father Joseph Bui, and Father James Vu.

The ordination Mass was a joyful and prayerful celebration of faith, service, and God’s call. Beginning June 16, these newly ordained priests will serve the faithful at their parish assignments throughout the Archdiocese.

As they begin their priestly ministry, we ask our community to keep them in prayer as they dedicate their lives to serving Christ and His Church. We also pray that more men will hear and respond to God’s call to the priesthood.

Congratulations, Fathers, and thank you for your “yes” to God’s invitation to serve. ✝️
🙏

Join Jane at Melba's Old School Po Boys to meet author Elise Ann Allen live from Rome and take home a free copy of her book.
Circle members: see Jane for a special coupon good for a FREE Po' Boy. Show up for Jane, support her literacy program, and meet Elise (virtually) all in one stop.
