Because of the explosion of Tuscaloosa's problem with ...
•Gun Violence
•Drugs
• And crime amongst our youth and young people ...
Restoration Ministries have refocus on helping to address conditions that lead to these serious problems in our communities.
The Village Concept ...
• " It takes a Village to raise a child" is an African which means that an entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children in order for them to experience and grow in a safe healthy environment.
• The best way for us to deal with the Violence, Drugs, and chaos in Tuscaloosa's community is for our neighborhoods, city officials, law enforcement, faith community, and various ministries to work together for the common good.
• Through the collaboration of existing community, ministries and agencies, city government, the schools and the faith community, we would like to bring all stakeholders together in a unified effort to establish the " Village Concept"

Plan of Action
Neighborhood Zones ...
• Neighborhoods will be organized into zones.
• A faith based organization or volunteer individuals will coordinate each zone.
• The main objective of the concept is to have each neighborhood involved in making positive difference in our city, one block at a time.
• The police cannot do it alone; it will take all of us working together to make a difference.
It takes a Village to save families, communities, cities, states, and this nation.

Positive Neighborhood Activities ...
• Walk - Through
• Neighborhood clean- up
• Meeting with city representative - discuss important issues pertaining to your neighborhood.

Who Should Participate In Prison Ministry?
When most people think of prison ministry, they envision confrontation with dangerous people, or walking to the electric chair with a condemned killer.
However, it is unlikely that you will actually become involved in either of these, or any similar situation in a life of ministry.
THE TRANSITION
Galatians 6:1
Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
How can you you play a role in helping to transition those who are released from prison to become productive citizens?
* Re- establish - return to society
* Having establish where the individuals are presently, the vision must be planted within the hearts and minds to establish them into occupants beyond their incarceration. The labor of ex- con must be overcome.
MANDATE OF THE CHURCH
Matthew 28:19-20
The Great Commission given by Jesus to His disciples was a ministry of restoration and renewal to the broken, battered, abused, the guilty, as well as prisoners who are released. It is for this reason our focus is raised, and our concern is given voice.

Will you join Restoration Ministries as we share the love of God in helping those who are being released from prison transition back into our community.
