A terrible tragedy occurred this past weekend with the loss of Elliot Brown. Elliot was a longtime if infrequent practitioner who was always willing to lend a hand. His humor and creativity were legendary and touched many lives in his adopted home of New Orleans. He is greatly missed.

"That guy didn't have a beef with anybody," a neighbor said. "He was very cool headed. Didn't get into any conflicts. He was just a really good friend, just a really solid person."

Sad news about the death of Maitre Kosen, Stephane Thibaut, one of Maitre Deshimaru's original and dynamic disciples. He was one of Robert Reibin Livingston's friends and brother monks from the Paris years. I never met him but sometimes I feel like I have, remembering the stories Robert would tell about Stephane's puckishness and humor, and integrity and his authenticity. 🙏🙏🙏

Stéphane, Maître Kosen Thibaut a quitté ce monde. Que nos pensées, nos prières empruntes de gratitude et de notre amour profond, l accompagnent sur son chemin de lumière .🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Sad news of the death Maitre Kosen, Stephane Thibaut, one of Robert Livingston's friends and brother monks from the early days in Paris with Maitre Deshimaru. One of Deshimaru's most dynamic and energetic disciples. While I never met him, I feel as though I had, thanks to the stories Robert would tell illustrating Stephane's originality, humor, and authenticity. 🙏🙏🙏
