What does it mean to consecrate ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus?
Consecration is an act of trust and love, placing our lives, families, and homes under the care of Christ. Through the enthronement of the Sacred Heart in our homes, we publicly acknowledge that Jesus is Lord of our families and the center of our lives. Join us as our archdiocese prepares for this beautiful act of faith and renewal.

On Sunday, the Universal Church celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ also known as Corpus Christi. A tradition on this solemnity is to hold a Eucharistic procession and, following the example of our Holy Father Pope Leo who carried the Eucharist through the streets of Madrid this weekend, many area parishes hosted solemn processions. We are excited to share photos from several of the local parish processions with you and if you have more from other parishes, please share the photos in the comments!

Christ in the City missionaries, a young adult formation apostolate based in Denver, have been in New Orleans since May 23 for a three-week mission experience. Living in community at the UNO Newman Center, they have spent their days dedicated to a sacramental and prayerful life while walking the streets of New Orleans and fostering friendship with people experiencing homelessness.

Archbishop Checchio visited with the missionaries to express his gratitude, answer their questions, and encourage them in their dedication to love of the Lord and the poor.
