Happy Labor Day, New Milford.

Today we’re grateful for the many people whose work helps make our community what it is — teachers, first responders, healthcare workers, small-business owners and employees, public servants, caregivers, service workers, and so many others.

Whether your work happens in an office, a classroom, a store, a home, on the road, or behind the scenes, what you do matters.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23

We pray that today brings you some well-earned rest, time with the people you love, and encouragement for the work ahead.

His mercies are new every morning, and today is another gift from Him.

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24

Sometimes we want to pray, but we just don’t know what to say.

The good news is that prayer does not have to be complicated.

Sometimes it can be as simple as:

“God, help me.”
“God, guide me.”
“God, give me peace.”

Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Spirit helps us in our weakness, even when we don’t know what to pray.
