Did you ever try and run your car without gas? Of course not. You may have run out of gas but you never just ignore the gas and say heck with it. The gas is fuel that provides the explosive power. Without it you may have spark but it will not run it is dead.

Our lives are just like that except so many people are just coasting along and never fill up. They are literally dead and don’t know it. There may be sparks but there is no explosion to bring them roaring to life because there is no fuel.

The Holy Spirit is or fuel and so many are running in empty. Without the fuel of the Holy Spirit, there is no power. Just stopping at a gas station will not fuel your car and just stopping at church will not fuel your life. Quit looking for a splash and go when you will not get far without a full tank. You can’t get filled without getting connected to the pump.

You jump on a plane that is maintained, or you hope is, by who knows who. The plane is being flown by someone that you don’t know and may have even been at the bottom of his class. You fly through a storm and you never question or seem to have a problem with it. Yet you never question any of it. We never ask for maintenance records or even to see the pilot’s license. You don’t see anything and yet say, I trust you!!!

Yet It seems we have more trust in a plane than God. God the creator of everything, the One who knows the beginning from the end, the One who knows every need before you ask, the one who said I will never leave you, the one who WILL get you safely through the storm.

Who should we REALLY be trusting?
