Took dad to Morgantown this morning for an eye appointment. Going down the interstate, I don’t think I have ever had something hit the windshield so hard. It was right in front of my face and I’m just glad whatever it was did not come through the windshield. Sure was glad for the protection.

We put a lot of faith in that windshield. That windshield is just like the shield of faith that protects us from whatever the world throws at us. Our faith in Jesus is the shield of faith and just like that windshield, it will protect us from whatever Satan tried to throw at us.

As I pulled into the store I saw these three shopping carts sitting out front. How easy would it be to just go the extra couple steps to put them away?

Then I thought isn’t this how most Christians live their lives and walk out their faith? We get so close and then stop short of completing the journey. Most of the time as Christians we just don’t follow through.

As you walk out your journey, Don’t quit, don’t stop. Don’t make others finish what you started.

I keep ripping this vine off the tree and it seems every time I turn around it is growing back. I let it go too long once and thought I would never get it off the tree.

It’s a lot like the sun in our lives, you can keep tearing at it but it keeps coming back and if you don’t deal with it it almost consumes you. The only way to really get rid of it is by dealing with the root of the problem.

You have to kill it or rip it out at the root to really get rid of it. The sooner the better. Don’t let it consume your life. The Holy Spirit will give you the power and strength to deal with it.

When I look at Peter raising Tabitha from the dead:

The first thing he did was put all those who were mourning and weeping out of the room. If you are looking for a move of God in your life, maybe the first thing you need to do is remove the distractions, the doubt, the interruptions from around you.
