It's awesome to know that the supreme God of the universe gave His infallible Holy Word to mortal man. I have tried to devote myself to the faithful study of His Word. The more I read, the more the Holy Spirit gives me understanding. The more understanding God gives me, the more I realize He goes way beyond what my mind can comprehend. I do not fully understand the sovereignty or supremacy of God. However, I do understand to the fullest that Jesus was in fact who He claimed to be! He saved a wretch like me! He did not save me in part, but totally. Praise the righteous name of Jesus; I am not what I used to be! He did not give me what I deserve. He gave me what He earned through His perfect life, death, and resurrection. He reconciled me back to the Father, allowing me to escape the hell I deserve. I may not understand exactly why He is doing what He is doing right now. I realize I don't have to or need to understand; I only need to trust Him. His plans are higher than my understanding. I rest assured in knowing that God will never leave me or forsake me. The world wants a god who makes them feel validated and comfortable. Jesus said He came to do the exact opposite. He came to set hearts ablaze. He came to make sin evident. He came to change the whole person, to set us free from the chains of sin. I thank God daily that He made me uncomfortable, that He made my sin evident, that He set me free. Please stop looking to the world's god. Come to Jesus; He will set you free. His commands are so plain they need no interpretation. We only need to trust God and obey His Word, even if it makes us uncomfortable. This is the peace that passes all understanding!
