Who We Are:
KCPC is a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) While we are few in number in the New England region, there are over 2.1 million of us across our country. We are part of the "Reformed Tradition" or that stream of the Protestant church developed in the 1600s by John Calvin in Geneva, Switzerland. Our congregation was organized in the early 1980s by a group of Presbyterians who longed for a church of their own. This group initially met to worship in rented space at Colby-Sawyer College. Since 1989 we have been located on King Hill Road in New London. The name "Kearsarge Community" was chosen to reflect how our membership is drawn from a wide area. We currently have participants residing as far away as Hanover, Grafton, Goshen, Contoocook, and Henniker. Of course we also serve Springfield, Sutton, Wilmot, Sunapee, Andover, Newbury, Warner, and Bradford.
