ā™„ļø A blessing for mothers on Mother's Day: Thank you Lord for our mothers. We remember today their loving care and their ceaseless love for us. May we show them by our gifts, our words, and our actions that we love them and care about them too. Father, we thank you for the family of the Church. May they know your blessing and strength as they care for others. Happy Mother's Day!!

"DO NOT BE AFRAID OR DISCOURAGED FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO,"

~~~Early yesterday evening, a crew from St. John's Church met at the St. John's Community Thrift Store to work on taking down the humidity levels. We brought in another dehumidifier, and distributed containers of products, including kitty litter, baking soda, and charcoal containers throughout the store.
Fr. Mike Hackbarth brought products he and his wife Debbie donated which are designed especially to clean, and another to kill mold
Our Landlord Zach was at the property with his assistant, pumping out basement water. An amount of less than a foot still trickles in, but he is on top of it!! He has fans circulating air in the basement, in addition to the fans that are running continuously in the store.
We want to thank him, as well as the Thrift Store Employees for the work already done, the Thrift Store Volunteers, Fr. Mike and Debbie, and the St. John's Volunteers for the efforts being put into getting back to business. Most of all, we want to thank our Customers for their understanding and patience during this process. We look forward to the day when we can re-open!!
A century ago, Christ the King Sunday pushed back on leaders who tried to claim too much power.
Today, ā€œNo Kingsā€ is another way people challenge that same kind of overreach.
Both point to one truth: no earthly ruler should stand above justice or the dignity of every person.
