New Kent Christian Academy New Kent Christian Academy is a ministry of Proverbs 226 Ministries Inc. NKCA will educate children in accordance with the principles of the Christian faith.

We are a Full Day Preschool for ages 12 weeks-5 Years, Before & After School Care for Elementary Students, and Preschool & Summer Camp Children. Through integration of these principles in the process of learning, we believe that children develop Christian values and attitudes by which to live. Essential to this process of growth and development is the Word of God. Christian principles are an integ

ral part of the curriculum and teaching. The leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit in all aspects of teaching is also a crucial part of the educational process. Christian education seeks to provide a healthy atmosphere in which to teach solid academics and Christian discipleship. Aligned with this philosophy of education is the realization that man is more than mind and body, but also spirit. Christian education is directed toward the whole person, spirit, mind, and body thus helping children reach their potential as Christian individuals. NKCA focuses on the child’s spiritual growth and his physical needs as well as academic knowledge. This approach to education assists each child in developing a life-style by which his/her faith will translate into a visible witness. In light of these principles NKCA offers a program which will provide its students with a wide variety of learning experiences in a Christian setting. The Word of God will be presented to children at their level of understanding and with opportunities and encouragement to practice the ideals being taught. Christian education begins with Christian families. Ultimate responsibility rests upon parents to “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6. NKCA in no way seeks to supplant the God-ordained family structure, but to support it in the total education of the child.

🎉🦋 Celebrating 10 Amazing Years of New Kent Christian Academy! 🦋🎉

Today, we celebrate a milestone that only God could have made possible—10 years of serving the children and families of New Kent County and beyond!

What began on June 20, 2016 as a dream, a calling, and a leap of faith has grown into a thriving ministry that has touched the lives of hundreds of children and families. Through every lesson taught, every prayer spoken, every milestone celebrated, and every challenge overcome, God has faithfully guided our journey.

Over the past decade, we have been blessed to:

🦋 Employ and mentor incredible teachers and staff
🦋 Build lasting relationships with families
🦋 Partner with our community
🦋 Create a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive

As we reflect on the last 10 years, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Thank you to every family who trusted us with their children, every staff member who poured their heart into our mission, and every community member who supported us along the way.

💜 A Special Thank You to New Kent Christian Center 💜

The first seven years of our ministry were made possible because of the incredible support, encouragement, and partnership of the church family at New Kent Christian Center. It was within those walls that the vision for serving children and families through Christian education first took root and began to flourish.

We are deeply grateful to the leadership team and congregation who believed in this ministry from the beginning and faithfully supported its growth. Their willingness to nurture this vision ultimately led to the transition of leadership, allowing the formation of Proverbs 22:6 Ministries, Inc. and the continued growth of New Kent Christian Academy as the ministry it is today.

Most importantly, we give all glory and honor to God. His faithfulness has sustained us through every season, and we are excited for what He has planned for the future.

As we celebrate this special anniversary, we look forward to continuing our mission of nurturing young hearts, inspiring young minds, and sharing the love of Christ for many years to come.
