Mt. Zion United Methodist Church The Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is a small, but very zealous, church. We love God and want to s Zion and Lydia churches.

Scott Bullock is Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of New Iberia, as well as of the Mt. Currently, the Sunday worship services are conducted by guest speakers. Many of these speakers are from FUMCNI, but others have come from various churches in the area.

It is a wonderful thing when God calls a daughter of a church to present a message. Lakechie Robertson was raised at the Mt. Zion Church and today she spoke to us about Faith. Betty was Gospel reader, and as always, Leroy is our Welcoming Committee!!

A Few Announcements:
First, We will have our regular service this Sunday morning at 8:00 am.

Second, A Trip: Special Sr. Adult Christmas activity
Since 1998 Emmanuel Baptist Church in Alexandria, LA has pioneered a unique ministry to tell the story of Jesus’ birth. This interactive Christmas drama invites you to take a step back in time to a place where a single event changed the lives of millions forever. Guests will receive pre-tour entertainment before a guided tour begins. First UMC will have the church bus available for those who would like to attend. Sr. Adults meet in the church parking lot December 14th at 2 p.m. to enjoy this unique experience and dinner on the return trip. There is no charge for the tour.

Third, Another Trip: Join our Senior Adults as we board the bus for an evening of symphony! Limited space is available so contact the church office to reserve your seat. We will meet in the church parking lot 1½ hours before the event begins to board the church bus. Don’t miss out!

Carol Mestayer told us that we are only as weak as our strongest link, and God is our strongest link!! As you know, Leroy is the chairman of our Welcoming committee. Join us for a day trip to New Orleans next Thursday. We will go to the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary to view some ancient Bible manuscripts and hear explanations of how we got our modern Bible. After lunch we will visit the Museum of Art. It will be fun and wonderful fellowship!!

Join us Sunday Morning for a great morning of worship. Bud Lee will speak to us, and his subject is "Faith". In preparation you may want to read the following scriptures: Genesis 12: 1-5; Ephesians 2: 8-10; 2 Timothy 2:13.
We will also discuss a new outreach ministry that Pastor Bullock has proposed.
