📆There is something big happening tomorrow!! It's First Saturday!

We know many of you have Kentucky Derby plans—but start your day with us in prayer!

First Saturday Devotions at St. Vincent de Paul

🕙 Confession at 9:30 a.m.
🙏 Holy Mass at 10 a.m.
🙏 Followed immediately by the Rosary

The First Saturday devotion is a beautiful way to offer reparation for the offenses against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It involves Confession, Holy Communion, and fifteen minutes of meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary, observed for five consecutive first Saturdays.

This devotion not only brings us closer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary but also invites us into a deeper relationship with her Son, Jesus Christ. All are welcome to join us in this devotion that Mary asked us to do.

📅 First Saturday Devotions will look a little different tomorrow (Feb 7th) at St Vincent de Paul as we have the funeral Mass for Lucy Brothers.
In your charity, please pray for the repose of her soul.

🕤 Father will still be at the church to hear confessions at 9:30.
🙏 Holy Mass at 10 a.m.

The things you need to do fulfill First Saturday devotions are:

- Receive Holy Communion
- Go to confession (within 8 days before/after)
- Fifteen minutes of meditation
- Pray five decades of the Holy Rosary

The First Saturday devotion is a beautiful way to offer reparation for the offenses against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. A statement from Fr. Biju:

All Saturday and Sunday Masses and activities at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, St. Catherine Church, and Immaculate Conception Church are canceled. Please stay safe and warm.

Sunday Masses are always streamed locally on Mass of the Air.

A statement on Masses this weekend:

It is not necessary for the Archdiocese of Louisville to grant a special dispensation, as Catholics are not obligated to attend Mass if the roads and weather conditions are unsafe. Individual parishes will make the determination whether to celebrate or cancel Mass.

There will be no 1st Saturday Mass and devotions at St Vincent de Paul tomorrow (Jan 3rd) - Fr. Biju is sick. Please pray for him and a speedy recovery.

St Francis of Assisi has 1st Saturday Mass and devotions at 8 a.m. if you are looking for another option.
