In our nation we have three separate holidays or days of remembrance set aside for members of the military; each of these days of remembrance has its own focus. Armed Forces Day which was celebrated two weekends ago is focused upon those who are currently actively serving and sacrificing for our nation. Veterans day which we will celebrate in November honors and thanks those who have retired from active service to our nation. And finally on this weekend every May, we remember and show our gratitude to those who have lost their lives in military service to our country.
This weekend we honor, we reflect, but as the body of Christ that we are, we also remind those who have lost loved ones in military service to our country that they are not alone in their grief, that they are not alone in their pain, and that their loved one has not been forgotten.

This week the National Conference of our Denomination meets for its annual gathering and you are able to participate through their YouTube channel.

We also ask you to participate through prayer. Ask for a bond of unity to be evident as we gather and seek to be the movement of God that He desires us to be.

This year we will hear messages from the book of Mark that record the events leading to the cross. Plus we will be lead in song by Pequea Church's Worship Team.

A celebration 175 years in the making!!

We are still beaming over the joy that was present yesterday as we celebrated 175 years of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Special music, a powerful message, and great friends have us looking forward with joyous anticipation for the next 175 years of mission and ministry for our church family.

May we follow Pastor Sizemore’s invitation to trust our God for the future… because of the great things we have witnessed Him do in the past.

175 years of God’s goodness and faithfulness… that deserves a special celebration!

And that is what we will do Sunday September 17th at a special time of 10 AM and a special place at Mount Airy EC Church. 480 Springville Road New Holland, PA 17557

During this celebration service we will hear from Bishop Randy Sizemore and his visionary message from Joshua 3 that challenges the church to “break camp” and go be the people of God in a new world.

We can’t wait to see you there and invite you to join us hungry as lunch will follow our worship.
