There really isn’t any other New Testament book quite like James. It’s practical, but also it can be “in your face” in many ways. James has a way of looking into every day life. He takes elements of faith, doctrine, and even theology, and brings it all down to earth to show how a follower of Jesus should live. Many Christians have a general idea of their personal beliefs. There are some things that are very important, while other items are less significant. But the question really isn’t about what you believe. It’s not even about why you believe it. How do you live it? That’s the question we need to answer. Jesus didn’t tell us to go and believe. Jesus tells us to go and do!

You have the chance to positively impact your community. You up for the challenge?

Next time you go grocery shopping, consider picking up just three extra items. Then, drop those off at one of the food pantries!

Granola bars, individual-sized bags of chips/crackers, bags of ramen, packets of tuna, and other ready-to-eat foods are perfect for the pantry! Anything that is grab & go makes for a great contribution.

When putting these in the pantry, we recommend taking them out of the big box and putting in the items individually. So if you have a box of granola bars, we recommend taking all of the bars out of the box and placing them in the pantry!

This is great because it allows for more people to benefit from one contribution. Everyone can take a variety of items that fit their individual family needs. Swipe to see an example of this!

We host a community food pantry outside of our main entrance off of Mourey Street and Lincoln Highway in New Haven. There are several other pantries around Fort Wayne that are similar, too! Check out to see the other pantries available in the community.
