Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church is seeking a trained and spiritually grounded Organist/Pianist to serve as Minister of Music.

This individual will provide musical leadership that supports and enhances the worship experience of our congregation.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Serving as principal organist and pianist for regular worship services, special services, and church events.

Planing, coordinating, and leading music in collaboration with the Pastor.

Providing musical direction that reflects and honors the tradition of the African-American Church.

Supporting a diverse musical repertoire including hymns, traditional and contemporary gospel, and anthems.

Developing, rehearsing, and overseeing choirs and vocal ensembles.

Working collaboratively with other musicians, singers, and guest artists.

Encourage musical growth and participation within the congregation.

Qualifications include:

A demonstrated experience working within the African-American church tradition.

Strong proficiency in organ and piano performance with a preferred ability to read music.

Experience directing or developing choirs (highly desirable).

Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Commitment to the mission and worship life of the church.

Compensation:

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with the applicant's training, education, and experience.

As 2025 draws to a close, we take time to reflect on where God has brought us and where He is taking us next. Watch night is more than an evening service; it is a sacred moment of reflection and gratitude to help prepare our hearts for a new year.

Let us bring in the new year together on Wednesday, December 31st at 7:30 P.M. There will be preaching, praying, singing and testifying. Bring a testimony and start the new year covered in prayer.
