I was ordained as an Elder in the 227th Session of the New York Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
It has been 28 years since I entered seminary, believing that God was calling me into ministry. Being ordained as an Elder is a significant milestone in that journey. I was born in a place where Methodism was scarcely known, was baptized in the Methodist tradition, attended a Methodist seminary, and have now become an ordained Methodist pastor.
I am deeply grateful to my family, who have always encouraged me to respond faithfully to God’s call; to the senior pastors of the Korean Caucus, who have continually offered their guidance and support; to my friend pastors and, with whom I have shared both study and fellowship; and to the church families who have faithfully supported me in prayers.
Thank you all for being part of this journey.
