No one loved New Haven more than Lucy H. Boardman! From 1794 to 1871 she donated more than a million dollars to local churches, schools, homes and charities. That's almost 21 million dollars today! She is buried with her husband in Grove Street Cemetery.

Don't forget to visit the Museum for and check out our upcoming event presented in partnership with Friends of the Grove Street Cemetery. "Remembering New Haven Women: Four Centuries of Women's History" takes place at the Museum on Thursday, October 24, 5:30 to 7pm, and is free and open to the public.
