As I watch the judgment of this country’s celebrities and leaders, as well as the celebrities and leaders of the church, the Lord has impressed upon my heart that this truly is indeed a season of His judgment. Judgment is when God makes a final conclusion after justly considering our ways. He is calling ALL to repentance, big and small, rich and poor, black and white. But especially to those of His church, in His household.
7-1, it will be done, judgment has come.
As His judgment is coming, repent, and ask the Lord to forgive you for that which you know is wrong, and begin to lose yourself from its grip…
As we watch the judgments across social media and on the news, an allegory comes to mind of a Father who instructs his two children to clean their rooms before He returns home. After many hours, the children hear the Father’s car in the driveway, and then His key in the lock. Shortly after, child B hears his sibling getting reprimanded and spanking, so he jumps up and feverishly begins to clean his room. And as he hears his Father's footsteps coming towards his door, he cleans his room with more urgency.
His Father reaches child B’s door and peeks into his room to assess whether or not he has done or is doing what he was told while He was away. When He looks in, He sees child B cleaning his room with fervor. And so the Father, just as quietly as He came and peeked in, closes the door and walks away.
May the Lord find us cleaning our rooms as we hear His footsteps quickly approaching our individual doors.
Cleaning our room is symbolic of repentance, cleaning up our junk, cleaning up our sin. Sin is doing anything outside the perfect will of God, our Father. It’s when we miss the bullseye of His will.
What sins, you may ask? Not just the sins we like to talk about - like stealing or murder - but the sins of being hateful, gossiping, being a slanderer, manipulator, liar, saboteur, living secret lifestyles, debauchery, and self-righteousness, to name a few. Anything outside the character of God. So the Lord is calling ALL people upon the earth to repent and to repent feverishly and quickly. But especially to those of His church, in His household.
I ask that you consider this post and go to the Lord for your own soul’s salvation. Especially those who profess Christianity. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 11:31-32 (ESV) “But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.” We are warned and encouraged to judge ourselves before He does it for us. In other words, judge yourself before He judges you.
Judgment has come and continues to come. But if you judge yourself and repent, which is actively turning away from these wrongdoings, then the Lord has no need to judge you. But if He comes to your door and opens it up and you are that defiant child, lying on your bed playing video games, not only will you get disciplined, but worse than your sibling, because you heard your sibling get reprimanded and get a spanking for doing the same thing you failed to do and, since you had no fear of your Father, you did nothing. The discipline of the sibling in this allegory should have served as a warning to child B. The public judgment of people in this season should serve as a warning to us as well.

I am not judging you or anyone else (only me, myself, and I), as I have been in deep, feverish repentance since I began to (symbolically) hear my Heavenly Father’s car in the driveway, and His key in my lock, see the shadow of His feet at my door, and see others getting reprimanded and spanked. A good parent always disciplines his child, should the Lord not do the same?
Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20, AMP)
If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. (Hebrews 12:8-11 NLT)
