As we enter the days of Dhul Hijjah, Dr. Ingrid Mattson shares a powerful reminder about the story of Hajar (RA).

When she realized being left in Makkah was Allah’s command, she didn't despair. She simply said: "He will not abandon us." She did everything she humanly could, running between Safa and Marwah, and Allah answered with the miracle of Zamzam ✨

As Dr. Ingrid Mattson points out, this is exactly what Muslim chaplains do every day. They walk into tough spaces, hospitals, prisons, and campuses to bring comfort to those in their darkest moments, reminding them they aren't alone.

It also helps protect the integrity of Muslim chaplaincy by ensuring that those representing the Muslim community uphold sound character, professionalism, and the values of Islam in diverse public settings.

Dhul Hijjah has begun, these are the days where even the smallest good deed can mean so much.

You don't have to do everything, just start with sincerity and stay consistent.

Read your Qur'an, make some extra dhikr, and give even if it's just a little. Because it all counts ✨

And while you're working on your own journey, there are people quietly showing up for others every day.

Through Muslim Endorsement Council, Muslim chaplains continue to support communities with care, guidance, and presence, especially in the moments that matter most.
